The Son of Marvel

What happens when a random working joe dies on the job, and the poor schmuck doesn't even realize it. That is when this particular putz wakes up from his perceived nap to a completely different perspective and a whole new world to be completely normal. What this guy doesn't realize is that this new world is far from normal. (I am a new writer so bear with me, and because of my American public-school education even though English is my native language. Grammar and punctuation is not my strong point.) Chapter 9

POV NIck Fury (the force is strong with this one. )

In the dimly lit confines of a secure S.H.I.E.L.D. meeting room, Nick Fury sat at the head of a long table, his eye fixed on a holographic display that flickered to life before him. Around the table, familiar faces gathered - Phil Coulson, Maria Hill, and a select few agents whom Fury had come to trust implicitly.

"We're at a turning point, people," Fury began, his voice steady and resolute. "Vega's presence has shaken things up, and Hydra is growing desperate. They're starting to reveal themselves, to show their true colors."

Coulson's brow furrowed as he leaned forward, his voice laced with concern. "Sir, are you saying that Vega's actions are forcing Hydra to expose themselves?"

Fury nodded, his expression grim. "Exactly. They can't afford to have a symbol of hope and heroism running around, threatening their grip on power. But their increased visibility is giving us an opportunity. We've been gathering evidence, slowly but surely, and we're getting close to bringing down their house of cards."

Maria Hill leaned forward, her gaze fixed on Fury. "So, what's the plan, Director? How do we take down Hydra and ensure their influence is eradicated from S.H.I.E.L.D.?"

Fury's lips curved into a slight smile, his eye glinting with determination. "We've been identifying the linchpins, the key players within S.H.I.E.L.D. who are loyal to Hydra. With a few more pieces of evidence, we'll have enough to expose them all, from Alexander Pierce to his most trusted agents."

He tapped a button on the holographic display, revealing a list of names and faces. "We hit them all at once, catch them off guard. Our goal is to dismantle their network, weaken their hold, and ensure that S.H.I.E.L.D. is cleansed of their influence."

Coulson nodded, his expression serious. "And Vega? How do we factor him into all of this?"

Fury's eye glinted with a mix of respect and uncertainty. "Vega's become a symbol of hope, a beacon of light in these dark times. I believe he can play a vital role in this operation. We'll need his help to expose Hydra's true nature to the world."

He leaned back in his chair, his gaze fixed on the holographic display. "It won't be easy, and the stakes are high. But we've faced worse odds before. Together, we'll make sure Hydra falls, and we'll prepare S.H.I.E.L.D. for the battles that lie ahead."

As the meeting concluded, Fury's thoughts were focused on the intricate web of deceit and power struggles that lay before them. Hydra's influence had infiltrated the very heart of S.H.I.E.L.D., but with Vega's help and a strategic plan in motion, Fury was determined to tear it all down and ensure that justice prevailed. The fight was far from over, but the pieces were finally falling into place, and the time for action was drawing near.

POV Jason

In the cozy living room of their secluded retreat, Jason Vega sat cross-legged on the floor, his parents Rosa and Franklin beside him. The sound of laughter filled the air as they played a lively game of Monopoly, the colorful board sprawled out before them.

"Jason, you're seriously becoming a real estate mogul here," Franklin exclaimed with a chuckle, eyeing the properties Jason had acquired.

Rosa grinned, playfully nudging her husband. "Don't underestimate our little strategist here, Franklin. He's got a knack for this."

As they continued their game, the conversation flowed effortlessly between turns. Between trading properties and rolling dice, the Vegas engaged in discussions that ranged from lighthearted anecdotes to more profound matters. Jason shared stories of his recent missions as Vega, recounting his encounters with criminals and his efforts to help people in need.

"I can't believe you managed to stop that bank robbery all by yourself," Franklin remarked, his admiration evident in his voice. "You've got a heart of gold, just like your mother."

Rosa's eyes sparkled with pride as she nodded in agreement. "You're a remarkable young man, Jason. It's incredible how you've embraced your abilities and chosen to use them for the greater good."

Jason's gaze shifted between his parents, a mixture of gratitude and determination in his eyes. "I couldn't do it without your guidance and support. You've shown me what it means to stand up for others, to protect those you love no matter the odds."

As the game reached its conclusion, with Jason emerging as the Monopoly champion, the family settled back, their laughter lingering in the air.

Later that evening, as the sun cast a warm glow over their secluded home, Jason sat down with his parents, Franklin and Rosa, in the cozy living room. The flickering flames of the fireplace added to the comforting atmosphere as they shared a quiet moment together.

"Mom, Dad, there's something I've been thinking about," Jason began, his gaze steady as he looked at his parents. "I've been using the name Vega as my superhero identity. I know it's our family name, and I want to honor that legacy. But I wanted to talk to you both about it."

Rosa exchanged a knowing glance with Franklin before turning her attention back to Jason. "Go on, Jason. We're here to listen."

Jason took a deep breath, his thoughts carefully chosen. "The reason I took up the name of Vega as a superhero name was because, I would be honored to carry the family name proudly on my chest, and I would love that the name Vega would be know worldwide. That carrying the name Vega, our family name, as I protect people is like a symbol of my commitment to preserving the innocent and standing up for what's right."

Franklin nodded, his expression thoughtful. "You've always been a Vega, Jason, and you've made us proud in more ways than we could have imagined. Using the name Vega as your superhero identity is a powerful way to carry on our legacy."

Rosa smiled warmly, her eyes shimmering with pride. "It's a symbol of who you are, where you come from, and the values you hold dear. When people see that V on your chest, hope is ignited like a flame in their hearts. That emblem represents ideals, the name Vega can represent your dedication to protecting others."

Jason's face lit up with a mixture of relief and excitement. "I'm glad you both understand. I want to make you proud, and I want to show the world that the Vega name stands for something good."

Franklin reached out, placing a hand on Jason's shoulder. "You've already done that, Jason. Your actions speak louder than words. By embracing the name Vega, you're carrying forward a legacy of strength, compassion, and unwavering determination."

Rosa leaned in, brushing a strand of hair from Jason's forehead. "You've brought a new meaning to the Vega name, one that fills our hearts with pride. We've watched you grow into an incredible young man, and now, you're using your gifts to make a difference in the world."

With a sense of unity and shared purpose, the Vega family embraced each other, their bond stronger than ever. The conversation was a testament to the deep connection they shared and the pride they felt in each other's choices.
