UGLY DUCKLING

The bar was crowded as usual. People were drunk and were enjoying themselves.

Suddenly they stared at the entrance without blinking. A girl came in, everyone was looking at her. Their piercing gaze could have made someone blush in shyness. But the girl was busy looking down at her phone. If one would get such attention then that would be because the person is either very beautiful or very sexy. But the girl was neither attractive nor pretty.

She wore a dark purple wig, green lipstick, red earrings, a simple white top with a blue pant and black heels and was currently walking towards a room.

Even though the people were drunk, they could clearly see the ugly creature who was walking freely without any concern. They could not control themselves any more and burst out laughing.

"Hahahaha....hey do you see that girl? How does she look? My God!! I have never seen such a beauty....hahaha...oh sorry I mean, I have never seen such a ugly duckling. How dare she roam here like she does not care about anything. Such a cheap lass....can she afford money? I don't think so." A girl wearing a V deep neck red gown, which showed her cleavage was haughtily sitting between few girls and boys. She had her left arm linked with a boy's right arm.

A few girl joined her to gain her favour, "Yes you are right Natalie. She cannot afford to come here. After all who can compare with you? You have a handsome boyfriend who is the sole heir of Donald group. She is just a mere dog licking Ava's shoes. She dares to come here today. Does she think she is really Ava's best friend. Let me tell you she is just bootlicking Ava that's all, she does not have good looks neither is she rich. Ava is just paying her attention because she pities her and nothing much."

Natalie knew that the girl was just trying to get close to her but she became happy when she praised her, 'Hmphh how can this nobody stick so close to Ava. Does she also want to get close to Emmett. No I can't let that happen. Emmett is my to begin with, I will surely get him one day. How can she even win to me, she does not have any sense and even wears such clothes here.' Natalie smiled thinking this.

"What are you smiling about baby?" The boy beside Natalie kissed her on the lips.

"Darling you hate this b*tch Alissa too right? Why don't we punish her today. You can thus take your revenge Broth." Natalie acted all sweet in front of her boyfriend. She inwardly sneered, 'I will make sure you will not be able to show your ugly face to anyone from today onwards b*tch. Just you wait. I will ask Broth to make your life hell.' She gave a sinister smile.

Natalie was from a rich family. Once she went to a auction with her father and there she saw Emmett. She fell in love with him at first sight. She tried to get close to him but he did not even gave her a glance and walked away without looking back. But Natalie was persistent. How could she give up on such an amazing man. Later she came to know that there was a girl named Ava in her University who was Emmett's cousin. She tried making friends with her, but she maintained a proper distance with her. Natalie was angry but she could not let her chance go. Hence whenever Ava had a friend, she would humiliate that girl or give her money to leave Ava. She was always successful until Alissa came. She had earlier tried talking with Alissa but she ignored her. Natalie got angry, but just then Emmett joined the University. She was all over the moon when she first heard that.

But when Emmett spared Alissa a look and talked with her, Natalie's jealousy flared up. She wanted to kill that girl who made Emmett talk with her even though she was ugly.

Natalie could not believe that she who was beautiful could not attract Emmett's attention. When she saw that Broth hated Alissa, she took the chance to make Broth her boyfriend so that he could remove Alissa from her way.

"I will do anything for you my dear Natalie." Broth was just memorized by Natalie's beauty, hence he could not see her scheming eyes. He glanced at a girl and order her to splash her wine on Alissa.

Even though Jennifer was looking down at her phone, she still could clearly hear the girls talking with her amazing hearing ability.

Naturally through the girls action, she could see through her plan.

Jennifer had to pass through, between the girl and Natalie. She made herself look like she was unaware of their conversation and walked in between them.

Just when the girl threw the wine on Jennifer, with her quick reflex moves, Jennifer bend down and acted like she was fixing her heels. As a result the wine fell on Natalie.

"Ahhhh....you!! How dare you throw wine on me." Natalie shouted at the girl, as she wasn't aware of Broth's plan.

The girl shrink back in fear, "I di-d not do it, this Alissa did this on purpose." The girl was quick to put the blame on Jennifer.

Jennifer slowly got up and innocently looked at the two girls who were screaming loudly.

'Useless people' Jennifer had to hear them scream loudly in her ears.

Natalie had lost her cool the time the wine was thrown at her. Her makeup was messed up and the wine slowly went down from her cleavage, making her totally uncomfortable.

She was so angry that she raised her hand to hit Jennifer.

The slap was just few inches away from Jennifer's face when suddenly a cold voice was heard, "What is going on here?"
