Spencer spent the night at the hospital. Nathalia had hardly slept, and when she got up the next morning, she saw the tired look of her face in the mirror.
She put on some make-up and her sunglasses, intending to hide the sleeplessness away before she set off.
She stood outside the room where Mrs. Davidson was staying and peeked inside to see that Mrs. Davidson was lying on the bed. She didn't know if she was asleep or awake and dared not go in to disturb her.
Spencer saw Nathalia at the door. His face lit up, and he went out to see her immediately. He looked even more tired than Nathalia.
They went to a café near the hospital for breakfast. Nathalia asked about Mrs. Davidson, and Spencer only replied with a sigh.
Sue had tried every way to persuade Spencer to leave Nathalia. She cried; she begged; she threatened, and when she realized that Spencer just wouldn't agree, she wept all night.
