Chapter 26

With his eyes on one of the slaves, Jason tries to communicate with him but the slave just doesn't notice Jason was trying to pass a message to him as he continues to watch the mistress and Jack sending attack after attack at Jason who seems to be doing fine against them.

"Dammit, how am I supposed to communicate with him now without those two noticing" Jason couldn't help but curse out after failing to get the slave's attention.

Jason didn't give up yet as he continue to look at the young man while at the same time trying his best to avoid getting hit by the duo's attack but there are some occasions that he couldn't dodge the attack on time and he was hit multiple times through the attack was strong enough to cause him any injuries but he still feels the pain mentally.

"The kid is just proving stubborn to kill, '' complains Jack as he tries to catch his breath since he has been expanding his spiritual energy for a long time.

"No matter how strong his body has become, it would still come to its limit and the kid would be nothing but our prey ready to be slaughtered" the mistress replies to Jack as she tries to convince him not to give up on the attack.

"But my lady, the problem is not only his body but the fact that he can still evade our attack. If this continues, it will only be a matter of time before we run out of spiritual energy" said Jack as he gave the mistress a brief look before continuing with his attack.

"Whenever you are about to run out of energy, then take some spiritual pills and continue fighting. I'm not leaving here not until I kill that brat" replied the mistress with gritted teeth.

Jack decided to stop asking questions after seeing the angry look on the mistress's face which shows that if he happened to say something that she is not pleased with, then he might end up being killed by her. Going through the stress of avoiding the duo's attack, Jason's robe was covered with holes all over from the attack that had hit him but all this time, he was still not able to get the slave's attention until an older slave who noticed the look him had on his face saw that he is trying to get in touch with one of them, he went to the slave in particular as he delivers a heavy smack on his head.

"Ouch, why would you hit me in the head old man" the slave complain after recovering from the smack.

"That kid would have left this place if he didn't want to help us but he didn't and now he is facing the mistress and her lackey even when he knows it would be impossible for him to win against them" replied the old man.

"Yeah I know about that but what does it have to do with you smacking me on the head"? Asked the slave as he still hasn't gotten his answer.

"Can't you see that he is trying to communicate with you" the old man replied after letting out a deep sigh.

After being told about this, the slave had to turn his attention from the duo and look at Jason who seem to have exhausted himself from all the running.

"Alright kid, you now have my attention" the slave muttered to himself as he continues to look at Jason.

"Sigh, I guess it is not going to be an easy task to stop them both" Jason said to himself as he stared at the two who are trying to release another of their attack on him and he was already having the idea of running tail and run away when he noticed that slave gaze was on him.

"Look like I can still pull this off" he said with a smile on his face.

"Now that I have your attention, what is it that you wanted to tell me" the slave muttered to himself as he continue to look at him and it was then that he saw Jason raising one of his fingers before grabbing it with his other hand tightly which kind of confused the slave as to what message he is trying to pass to him and the other slaves could also see this.

"What is he doing"? Asked the slave with a confused look on his face.

"I don't know but if you were to ask me, I would say we should separate Jack from the mistress" said the old man with a smile on his face.

"But isn't that suicide to try and separate them"? Asked the slave with a surprised look on his face as he turned to the old man.

"It would be if it were before he was injured but now that he is seriously injured, if we were to work together. Taking him out of the fight wouldn't be a problem for us" replied the old man.

"I guess you are right about that" the slave said after thinking about the matter for a while.

After coming to terms with the old man, he turned around and gave Jason a thumbs up which indicates that he will do it.

"Great, now I just have to get them distracted enough for him to get to Jack without being noticed," Jason said with a smile on his face as he let out a deep breath before wiping the sweat off his face.

Since he has already communicated with Jason, the slave now had his attention to the slave with a serious look on his face as he spoke up.

"Listen up guys, what we are about to do is the only way we can buy our freedom and we need some people to help make this possible else our savior will have no choice but to abandon us here".

After explaining things to the other slaves and with the old man also speaking up, some slaves decided to come out and join them in their plan.
