Chapter 30 - Why didn't you ask?

Bryan hugged Serefina back. "Sef, can I ask you something?"

"Of course," she said.

"Why didn't you ask why I want to go away from you?"

"Well," Serefina pulled away from the hug, "because if the reason is accurate then I wouldn't be able to stop you isn't it?"

"Maybe..."

Serefina looked up at Bryan for a moment making out his features. He looked like he hadn't slept well. "You didn't sleep last night?"

He hesitated, "I had something to do. And don't ask me what."

"Okay."

There was a long silence. "So, you found out what Rhys talked about with Miss Linda?" Serefina asked.

"Oh, yes. He thinks that Miss Linda is hiding something about the the dream of yours."

"Is it true? Which means we still have a chance to figure out where grandma is, right?"

He hesitated. "Well, she is refusing to speak. And we think that something is keeping her from revealing everything."

"Oh." Serefina sighed and looked out the window beside her.

"Hey, we are trying our best to find a way to make her speak. So, don't worry too much, okay?"

Serefina nodded. "Thank you, Bryan. "

"You don't have to. Just can you complete your answer from before?"

Did he mean why she didn't ask him why did he want to leave? Serefina was too nervous to answer it. "Because...I...don't...want you to leave me."

Bryan's eyes widened and Serefina blushed and tried her best to hide it. She had said it.

He walked towards her as Serefina looked at him. Serefina always knew he was handsome and tall but now he looked even more beautiful. His eyes shining like emeralds. His messy dark brown hair was messier yet amazing.

Bryan inched closer to Serefina taking her hands as Serefina too came closer. She could smell Bryan's perfume and then-

Someone knocked on the door.

Both of them backed up from each other. The situation was really awkward.

Bryan cleared his throat, "Sef, the door."

She nodded and walked sheepishly towards the door and opened it revealing "Ronald Reagan?"
