Chapter 25 - Surprise

Bryan tip-toed through the silent hallway making shhhh! sounds whenever Serefina let out a sigh. That was inconvenient.

A few steps ahead was a room whose doors were wide open. Serefina didn't want to but her eyes drifted inside the room.

It was just as big as Bryan's room but all Serefina could see was purple. Lots of purple. Every furniture inside that room was purple. Even the mirror's glass was lavender.

"Sef?" Bryan whispered.

"There's a lot of purple stuff," Serefina raised an eyebrow.

"Lady Crizznie's room," Bryan said. "She is obsessed with purple."

"Looks like it ," Serefina agreed. "But who exactly is Lady Crizznie?"

"She's a professor in the Crystal Academy. Here inside the Time Crystal."

"There is a school in here too?"

"Yeah."

"Then why do you attend the Clockwork academy when you have a school here?"

Bryan hesitated, "Well, that's because-"

"Told you, they'd be here," Kyle interrupted appearing out of nowhere.

"Yeah, sure, but I remember you protesting about it," Rhys said appearing beside Kyle.

Serefina and Bryan exchanged quick glances at each other. And the same words came out of their mouths, "What are you guys doing here?"

"We were waiting for you two," Kyle explained. "What took you so long?"

Serefina was utterly confused. How did they know?

"By the way," Kyle said reaching for her jacket pocket. "Happy birthday!"

She took out a red satin ribbon and handed it to Serefina. Bryan should've had told Kyle about her birthday.

"It can create any hairstyle you want. Since your hair is long I thought this might be useful," Kyle explained.

"I didn't know it was your birthday till today, so I can't give you a gift," Rhys said, "but I would give you a gift in the future."

"No worries," Serefina smiled at her friends. Well it's true that there's a first time to everything.

"Now, how about you fill us in on how did you find out we were here?" Bryan asked.

"It was obvious," Rhys said. "I am you best friend. I know things about you." He winked.

Bryan sighed.

"Are we waiting for Lady Crizznie to ask a million questions?" Kyle asked.

"You might as well tag along," Bryan said finally.

"We weren't asking," Kyle and Rhys said in unision
