The Executioner

Kang Yun rushed to me after some minutes

"What happened Your Highness, did the leader command them to arrest you?", he asked furiously.

"No, she has fainted, Gu Won did, help me get news about the Leader's health, I will be fine if she is fine", I asked of Kang Yun.

"that devil, I should kill him immediately", he shouts with anger.

"Leave him for now and do as I say", I ordered him and he rushed to carry out my order.

I feel dejected but I have no choice but to hold on, I have fallen directly into Gu Won's plan, and I am sure he will think the stars are working for him.

There was no food given to me or any guard to check on me till the next morning when two guards barge in and carry me outside in chain.

I cover my face as the light shines bright on my eyes, it blinds me for some minutes.

"you have sinned against this village and our leader, you will be executed here", Gu won said from the leader's seat.

"What did he do, do deserved this instant execution and where is the leader?", an elder asked.

"And this man just arrived from a mission which he carried out diligently and he helped us kill the beast that has been terrorizing us", another elder said.

"Now you care where the leader is and about her whereabouts, and did you all want to be on my bad side?", he asked angrily.

"No", they bend their head as they all fear him.

"she gave me her royal ring and I have the right to pronounce any judgment and you must all follow", he said as he showed them the ring.

The elders become speechless and helpless immediately.

"Carry him outside and execute him immediately", he commands them.

"and arrange a few soldiers to hold Kang Yun and Rang Min down till you carry out my older, if they don't cooperate, kill them too", he added and headed out.

They carry me to the execution ground and I can hear Kang Yun roaring as he fights the soldiers but there are many around him. He will kill them all but it will be too late by then.

Gu won joined on the execution ground and raised his hand as the executioner raised the axe to chop off my head.

Suddenly I blanked out so this is the afterlife, I guessed.

**Seo Hwa POV**

I wake up and there is only a maid beside me.

"where is Yi San", I asked as I tried to sit up

"who is Seo Hwa? My Leader", she asked back.

"I mean the prince, the new visitor in the village", I describe so she can understand.

"I heard Gu won telling the guards to prepare him for execution and he removed your ring to carry out the order, he said you are known to it", she explained.

I jumped on my feet as I heard what she said.

"kill who? Why?" I rushed out and towards the execution ground.

I got there and met Yi San lying down helplessly on the ground, an arrow in our executioner skill and another in Gu Won's left arm. They are all on the ground.

I ran towards Yi San to check if he was still alive and thankfully he was still alive.

"take him inside", I command the guards. They carry him into my room and I follow them immediately.

I heard a loud noise and someone intercepted us.

"put him down or I cut all of you down", Kang Yun roars.

"what is happening here, why will you do that", I asked him.

"you command him to be killed, thank your stars you didn't kill him else all the people in this village will be lying down dead by now", he roars again. Blood dripped from his body as he as been cut many times and other people's blood stained his clothes.

"can someone explain what is happening here?", I asked out of confusion.

"The physician sat on your throne because he has your ring and commands the prince's execution and that they should guide his servants from interfering. We have to follow the order, he said you commanded him to do it", a servant said.

"I was unconscious until a few minutes back, I never commanded him to do this", I defend myself.

"Trust me, I will never command his execution", I said as I walked towards Kang Yun and took the sword from him. He stood helplessly and tired.

The servant returned after laying him down in my bed.

"who stopped the execution", I asked them.

"We didn't know, two arrows were shot by an unknown skilled archer, one at the physician's arm and the other in the executioner's skull", a guard explained as he was there.

"so why is His Highness unconscious", Kang Yun asked.

"the axe fell from the executioner's hand and hit his head towards the neck", he added.

Thankfully he is still alive.

"I was busy fighting and Rang Min is in the dungeons so who shot the arrow", Kang Yun asked again.

"we will have to find that out when Yi San wakes up", I said.

"where is Gu Won", I asked angrily.

They took me to where they treated him and I could see the way he looked at me.

"why are you being like this, what is wrong with you", I asked furiously.

He kept mute as he stared at me with disappointment in his eyes.

"you command your soldiers to shoot me, after everything I have done for you, if not for me you wouldn't be sitting on your Father's throne", he cried out as tears rolled from his eyes.

I have never seen him like this before

"I was sleeping until I arrived at the execution ground and met you on the ground shot, all the soldiers were with you and some were fighting Kang Yun, I didn't know who shot you", I explained to him.

"you didn't command anyone to shoot the arrow? He asked again.

"I would never do that ", I assure him

"then who shot me? ", he asked.

"I came here to ask you that, you didn't see the face of who shot you? ", I asked him

"the arrow comes from the side, I didn't see the face, there are some people among us that work do the prince, I will them and kill them all", he said with a wicked look.

"why did you command his execution", I asked him at last.

"you won't want me to say it in front of all the guards and servants present", he replied.

"leave us", I command all of them.

After they left us I asked again.

"why? "

He paused for some minutes with tears rolling from his eyes

"did you know you are pregnant for him", he asked finally.

My feet weaken immediately and I crumpled to the floor.

"What did you say", I asked again

"you are pregnant for him, I know about what has been going on between you from before she went to China, that's why I attacked him on the journey, is it because he killed a bear, I did a lot more than that for you and you never look at me for once", he cried out with hatred.

I want to talk but words are not coming out. My mind is blank.
