Hidden Strike

"I have loved you from when we were kids up till now, but a stranger just came and you let him in your bed", he said with hatred and disappointment in his eyes. 

"so that's why you decide to kill him?", I asked him eventually. 

"Ever since he came into my life, my life has become more meaningful, he makes me want to live every day", I said again. 

"but I have always been by your side all this while, I make living easier for you, he just came into your life", Gu won fight back 

"but it's not the same, it's like he has been in my life since I was born, I look forward to every new day happily because of him", I said trying to make him understand. 

"yes, you have helped me ever since I lost my father, you stood by me, you make me strong and you fight with my enemies for me, that's why you are my brother, a brother I never had, that's how I see you, I am sorry, that's why I never reciprocate your love", I said to him in tears. 

"I tried to tell you but I don't know how, please understand me", I couldn't look into his eyes again. I feel very bad but I have no choice. I love another. 

Hearing the words from my mouth, he looked into space for some minutes then he left the room. I know he could not digest it immediately but I hope he didn't hate me for this. 

"I have a potion to give you and the pregnancy will be gone, I know it's a mistake and you don't want it now", an old maid said to me. 

I looked at her for some minutes wanting to curse him but I didn't want to scream now. I don't have the strength, I should talk to Yi San now. 

I left the room and found him standing by the tree in the middle of the village. He stood like this is his palace, he has the King Aura around him. 

"what are you thinking about?", I asked him and he responded with a shock. He was lost in thought. 

"I am just thinking about my life since I made the mistake of fighting the Kim family without a shred of strong evidence, I have lost my home, Kang Yun lost his family and Rang Min lost his family too. Everyone getting involved with me ends up losing their life or their loved one's life", he said looking sad. 

"the palace lost you too and I am sure your father missed you too, in due time you will get back into the palace", I assured him holding his face. I can't tell him about the pregnancy now, or else I will be adding salt to his wound. 

"What did you want to tell me, it seems like you have something to say to me, your face looks worried", he asked me. 

"No, I just want to ask how is your head now and if you are feeling alright", I asked him. 

"I am okay now, hope Gu Won survived the hit, I still couldn't think of anyone who knew where I am that rescued me", he said. 

"my father can't carry out something like this I am sure it's someone I know, but I can't think of anyone", he said sadly again. 

I stood beside him thinking of what to do too, maybe I should collect the potion from the old maid, he can't cope with this now. 

The next day morning I was feeling dizzy as I couldn't sleep throughout the night, thinking about what I should do next, there was an emergency most of our copper sellers in the city had been attacked, and their shops scattered by the Kim soldiers and most of them are kidnapped. 

Our soldiers are sent for investigation and they found the hideout they are keeping them and torturing them to give out the people they work for. 

**Yi San POV**

"I and Kang Yun will go and bring them back", I said to them in the hall of the meeting. 

"No, we can't send only two people to face many soldiers, we should raise soldiers to go", Seo Hwa fought back. 

"no we can't make them see us coming, a few well-trained soldiers will do, and Kang Yun will pick a few soldiers to fight together", I said again. 

"I will go with you", Seo Hwa blasts out. Everyone paused to look at her for some minutes. 

"I don't want to just be home waiting for a report every time, I will go with them. I can fight too", she defends herself. 

"I will go with her so she will be safer", Gu won speak up after thinking for a while. 

"We can't put our leader's life at risk because of some peddlers, No, only the soldiers should go", an elder insist on not sending Seo Hwa with them. 

"I command them to sell the copper so I am responsible for their life, I should protect them too", Seo Hwa insists too 

"so risking your life too will bring them back?", I asked after thinking for a while. I can not fight well or concentrate well on the mission if she comes with us. 

"I will go, prepare the soldiers, and summon me when it's time, and that's my final order", she said and stormed out of the meeting hall. 

We all stood there looking at her confused, why would she want to come with us? 

Gu Won kept looking at me like I was an enemy. He dislikes me extremely. 

"she wants to come because you are going, only you can talk her out of coming, I will trust that you don't want her to be put in danger", he whispered in my ear and left. 

I hurried to her tenth and found her pacing around the room. 

"Why did you always put your life online first every time, like you are not responsible for anyone", she said immediately after she saw me. 

I don't understand why she is this angry but I need to calm her down first. 

"I Kang Yun are the most skilled swordsman here and Gu Won too, so only us are quality for the task, and the more we wait the more danger the peddlers are in", I speak up. 

"what if something happens to you, what about me, you want to leave me too", she cried out. 

"I have fought countless wars and with Kang Yun by my side I always survived, trust me I will come back alive", I tried to confuse her. 

"if you insist on going then we are going together, I can't allow you to go alone, we will face them together", she insists.

"Don't be stubborn Seo Hwa, I am doing this for you, if we bring them back alive, people will trust you more", I said confusingly. 

"what if they saw your face on the mission?" she asked me suddenly.

I was dumbfounded, I hadn't thought of that possibility yet. 

"Then they will know you are alive and sent soldiers to search for you if escape successfully. Then you will be on the run again", she continued. 

I stood there silent as she was right and I didn't want to bring any harm to the village. 

"what should we do now", I asked as I couldn't think of anything again. 

"we will send some skilled soldiers and Gu Won will supervise the mission", she said after thinking for a while. 

"OK, I trust your judgment", I said to her and hugged her tightly. 

Her face looks disturbed but I am sure she is not ready to tell me yet so I will wait patiently beside her.
