<p>The roads of Wover city were clear at this moment. <br/>'Tap… tap… tap…' a glorious carriage made its way on the clean roads passing beautiful mansions and courtyards left and right. Four magnificent black horses pulled the carriage as if floating in the wind. <br/><br/>This was the elite living area of the city. People living here were aristocrats from werewolf and noble vampire families. For people here, the carriage wasn't something they didn't own or hadn't seen. Its horses, however, did appeal to the eyes of a few passersby for their breed was a really high-class one and except for one family in this town, only a few families from the capital were allowed to raise this breed. <br/><br/>The carriage was now moving towards the end of the town, to the biggest mansion in the city indicating the dwellers' status in the town. As the carriage stopped in front of the Einar family's mansion, the dying sun glared at it from the opposite direction. Lamps at the gate lit up as one of the stationed guards moved forward to verify the identity of the carriage owner.<br/><br/>"Master Robert Whitlock", said the coachman in an imposing tone. The Whitlock family's crest at the doors of the carriage shimmered in the light of the torch. The guards bowed while letting the carriage in as it moved a little further passing beautiful gardens, sub-paths leading to deeper parts of the estate and guest courtyards. The carriage kept moving until it reached a beautiful fountain in the middle of the path, giving the road here a circular shape divided into two roads around the fountain. <br/><br/>The coachman pulled the reins upon hearing three taps from the window behind him. He immediately got down to open the carriage doors and placed a stool for the master. A guard first stepped down followed by Mr. Robert. <br/><br/>He was a tall man in mid forties. Dressed extravagantly, his whole being screamed arrogance and danger. He was a high alpha. The aura he released was enough to suppress countless lower tier alphas. In the capital, people preferred death over having a dispute with this cunning man. His small green eyes spoke volumes about the greed, selfishness, and lust this man held. "Park the carriage, I'll walk from here."<br/><br/>A meaningful smirk crossed his lips. He signaled a maid tending to one of the lawns nearby to come over. The maid shivered under his predatory gaze and slowly made her way over to where he was standing. She was new here and had no idea who this man was. One thing was clear though, he was someone closely related to the High Alpha's family or he wouldn't be standing on the pathway to the inner courts. <br/><br/>Stopping a few feet away, she bowed, "greetings my lord, how may this lowly one help you?" Sir Robert threw a penetrating gaze at her, staring at her curves for a little longer than her face and hummed. The little girl squirmed under this uncomfortable gaze wanting to run away. She was an omega. Coupled with the fact that she never came across this kind of situation before, she felt like running away and hiding somewhere safe. <br/><br/>"Hmmm… you can help this master in many ways, little girl, but right now, I want you to lead me to the lady of the household and maybe answer a few questions of mine…", he leaned towards her, taking a deep whiff of her scent and smiled. His smile was awfully lecherous, causing her heart to nearly jump out of fright as she tried to control her tears and heartbeat. <br/><br/>These powerful people liked to play with the weak's weaknesses. His amused gaze was causing chills to run down her spine. "Th..this way, my lord", she spoke with a jittery heart. The man walked forward, enjoying the expressions of his prey. 'Looks like the stay here is going to be fun' he thought to himself. <br/><br/>A few steps later he decided to shoot his first question, "The patriarch of the family, I heard he's out for an expedition?" The little omega walking behind him stuttered immediately, "yy..yess, my lord". <br/>"The current in power, is his second son, Jehl Einar?"<br/>"Yes, my lord".<br/><br/>"How's Jehl's wife as the lady of the household? Do you think she deserves to be the matriarch of the family?" He smirked playfully while the omega felt her limbs go lifeless. <br/>Bowing deeply, she spoke in a quivering voice, "This lowly one dares not have an opinion about her masters, my lord." He turned to look at her.<br/><br/>"Hmmm… but still, you must have an idea about your mistress, or some heard gossip is fine as well." He pretended to be generous while his eyes hungrily devoured on her helpless, horrified expressions. As if he didn't know that the punishment for talking behind his sister, the mistress of this household, was dismemberment. <br/><br/>"Come on little girl, it's not that complicated a question" he smiled again, taking a step towards her, he held her chin between his thumb and finger. <br/><br/>Rose felt like his touch left thousands of spiders crawling at her body. "Look at me", he commanded. Opening her eyes to look into his, Rose could feel the increasing amount of craziness that had started to swirl in them. He was enjoying her helpless expressions. As if he was watching his favorite meal being prepared. A few feet away from them stood master Robert's guard, his expressions so normal as if this was a normal occurrence. <br/><br/>Rose was slowly losing hold over her expressions. It was only a matter of seconds before she burst into tears when suddenly the tyrant's eyes caught something behind her. 'Ohhh...' <br/></p>
