socialising

I walked onto the site where the mission was supposed to take place, spotting a group of 8 people already gathered. Some were chatting, a few were sipping drinks, and others were busy prepping their gear.

One of the group members noticed me and waved me over. He was a large guy, definitely built like a tank, and his smile seemed genuine as I approached. "Hey there!" he greeted me, offering a hand. "I'm Gu Dong-Ha. Thanks for accepting the invite. Your help's going to make a big difference. You're a D-rank, right?"

I accepted the hand shake and replied "Yep, I'm Lee Soo-Young, D-rank fighter. But don't expect too much. I'm kinda inexperienced," i gave out a small laugh.

Dong-Ha flashed a large smile and chuckled "don't put your self so down, you'll be a great help. we still have to wait on one more but after that we can go. if you feel the need to ask anything, ask me. I have been put as the leader. since i had the most experience." he then gave out a small sigh.

his mood instantly was lifted as he continued "Anyway, here's the paperwork. Just some info on the gate and a waiver at the bottom." he then handed me a clip-board and a pen.

i glanced over the information about the gate, since i already read the online add. after quickly scanning over it, i signed it. though for some reason it was like i already knew how to sign the name Lee Soo-Young. muscle memory? idk. doesn't matter.

i handed the board to him and asked "so, we should wait until the last person shows up right?" he nodded and responded "yep, after we will group up and give small introductions, just name, class and rank, nothing big. after that, we will head in. sounds good with you?" i put a thumb up "yeah, that's good. so uhh" i looked around and saw a food truck. "i'll be eating over there." i said as i pointed it out "I'm hella starving" after saying that i walked off towards the food truck, since damn i was fucking hungry. i even had lunch before coming. hm, guess i also have a Saiyan's stomach.

###

We gathered at the gate entrance, all of the party here, Dong-Ha stood at the front, with a confident smile. "Alright, let's do a quick round of introductions before we head in," he said in his overly friendly tone, . . . it seamed fake. eh not my problem. his depression is not my problem.

all 10 of us introduced our selves but that's boring so i'll summarise. there were 2 D-ranks, me and a healer, the rest were E rank's except 2 carriers. the E ranks were 1 mage, 2 tanks (including Dong-Ha) 1 assassin, 1 ranger and 3 other Fighters not including me. pretty spread out team. so this should be quite easy for a first one.

After the introductions wrapped up, Dong-Ha clapped his hands together and raised his voice. "Okay, now that we're all acquainted, let's get moving!" He turned on his heel and strode toward the gate, the others following with some small talk.

i watched them move mid stretch, so i quickly finished my stretches and followed as well. excited to turn monsters into paste . . . don't look into that.

'thank god i took all those martial arts, I mean I may not be the best but i was usually close to it.' i thought as i walked through, remembering how I thought learning 4 different fighting styles at a professional level were practically useless in the modern world. all i thought of them were a hobby,

but i guess that hobby went pro since, i was not so normal anymore. I was just Saiyan. "hehe" I let out a small giggle at the thought of my shitty joke as I quickly crossed the portal. since i want first blood.

A/N here is a very nice short chapter cause why not
