v2 The Showdown
With shaking hands, Aurelia began drawing a large circle around Cyan. The scroll shook and flapped in the wind, miles and miles of ancient secrets just swinging away. Cyan had since then stopped struggling, but he was staring at Ignis, as if in shock. Ignis, a charred ball, lay still in her cage.
Her hide was still sizzling.
'Everybody get back...' Aurelia warned, as she began to chant.
Latin that just sounded like nonsense escaped her mouth. With each sentence, the circle began to get darker and darker, until by the end it was growing bright red. 'Dp not under any condition step into the circle...unless you want to become Ignis's next partner...' Aurelia said.
Shuddering, Falcon took large steps back.
Shayma was standing close to the circle with her eyes fixed on Cyan. She was holding a hand to her heart, close to falling to the ground. It was as if this was her final straw...if they failed today then she might do something reckless.
