A hushed silence followed.
Then the protesting began.
'Don't be silly, Falcon.' Zue scoffed.
'Are you... absolutely...off your rockers...?' Aurelia whispered.
Falcon said nothing. He knew such a response was on his way, so he kept his eyes away from Aurelia. He knew she was staring at him, waiting for him to raise his eyes...yet he kept his eyes averted determinedly.
It was true he had no idea how he was going to duel Ignis. Aurelia's great-grandfather had made up his mind to do so and he too had bailed out. There were many creative ways in which Ignis could skewer him, who knew, she would put him in a cage similar to Cyan's and starve him slowly. Or she could torture him to death...feed him to her monsters.
The possibilities were endless.
