Two hours later, Falcon was sure he had broken even Aurelia's record as the fastest reader.
Now Orchid had the book in her grip and was going through it swiftly, turning page after page. Falcon had learnt his lesson doing that when he mildly skimmed through the Book of Demons that had led Cyan to his death. So now, he read page after page, inhaling and absorbing every word, trying to understand how it related to him.
Not that it was not connected to his life...but because he was not sure how they related to it.
At first, he had a hard time understanding it, but things slowly fell into place.
He glanced at Orchid, who was rubbing her eyes as she read. Gently, he pulled the book out of her hands. 'I'll tell you what's here...'
Orchid gave him a grateful smile and nodded. 'My eyes aren't working like they used to...'
