Ch 13: Expanding Overseas pt. 2

[1830 words without An. Here's the second chapter of the day.]

A group of people around 100 in total were gathered in a hall. All of them had white hair and different canine features. They all had happy smiles on their faces and were awaiting commands from their Master that is me.

It has been a few days since I took over the Bai hu(white tiger) clan and all of them under my thrall. There may be a few bastards here and there that are not present and live elsewhere but like most bastard children, they don't matter much.

Hei led me to them and from there it was an easy endeavor. I had a spar with a few of them and came out on top a few times without using my commands. I didn't fight the stronger ones but it was never my intention to fight with them. I just wanted to test my skills and I was pleased with it.

I tested the clan's regeneration and it was okay to say the least. While it wasn't wolverine level, it was still impressive. I broke a few of their bones and it healed in a day.

The regeneration part in their genes was not consistent and it was higher in some while weaker in some. From what I heard from them, the clan ancestor or the guy who started this clan 80 or so years ago had the strongest variant and could even regenerate lost limbs and other organs.

Also while all clan members have similar quirks, they are dominant in some parts only. Some have better senses, some better claws and strength and some have good defenses with thicker skin and better regeneration.

So I came up with an idea to put them to maximum use.

"Hey Bolin, how are the new arrangements coming up?" I ask a young man who is walking towards me.

This man is Bolin and he shows the most promise out of all his clanmates. His quirk is better in all aspects and is the closest to his ancestor. With some tempering, he will be a valuable asset.

After arriving in front of me, he says,"Yes Master, all arrangements are going according to plan."

The arrangement he was talking about was a plan that I came up with. Since all the clan members have different variants of their quirks, I decided to divide them and add each under a special category that they would fit in.

For example, if some clan members have better senses then they are put into a group or unit that specialises in tracking and scouting. Similarly, if some have better attack power, they are drafted into a unit meant for offense.

This was an experiment to determine if they could work well in units like these and functioned better, if they did do that then I would implement this for Hydra too.

But currently Hydra lacks the manpower necessary to do this and I can only attempt this after I return with the manpower.

Right now I am having the clan members slowly learn Japanese or English as it would be more convenient in the future. Even I have started learning Mandarin and it's really not an easy task. But I have to learn it in case the gadget doesn't work.

Currently I still can't speak sentences but I have memorised a few keywords like 'Ting'(stop) and one sentence that is 'Gēnsuí wǒ suǒyǒu de mìnglìng' which roughly translates into 'follow all my orders'

But this was not the only thing I was doing. Hei had handed over his connections and I found that he had dealings with Trigger dealers. I asked him about it but he didn't have much information on them so I just asked him to keep an eye out for those dealers and to let me know if they are seen again or if they contact him.

Next I established another base here in Hong Kong city and used Hei's underlings to act as the fodder for other members. The Bai Hu clan is now a part of Hydra and will be stationed here till I need them.

After that I took over other small time gangs and villains slowly putting them under my thrall. Then I made preparations for the next clan that was my target. The clan was an elusive one but were really useful. The clan was called Qīngshuǐ (clear water) and as the name suggested, their quirk had something to do with water.

Their clan had water related quirks. Most of them can't produce water the same way as Todoroki creates ice but what they can do is turn their body into water for a few seconds and when they are in this state of matter, they are near invincible to physical damage. While they can be harmed by fire, lightning and ice, just the fact that they can shrug off physical attacks is good news for me as this makes them good on frontlines.

This clan was an elusive one and they were assassins. This clan was a relatively new one and was formed only 30 or so years ago. They quickly rose to power as they started the assassination business and are now one of the top clans here.

Now they too maintained their purity but this time they didn't inbreed and it was not their priority. Their main asset is their killing arts which they pass on to the next generation. What they did to maintain purity was actually a good idea.

They found a simple yet ingenious solution to this, they just married quirkless people. While this option also had the risk of the child being quirkless, that was never their priority. The child would either have a water quirk which they will be trained to use from childhood along with killing arts of the clan or if the child was quirkless, they would be trained in killing arts and will also be trained in handling weapons.

This clan was something that I was actually interested in as from what I could gather, they solely didn't rely on their quirk but had developed some techniques to greatly increase their capabilities and this meant that they could be learned.

It might help Toga get better and speaking of Toga, I wonder how she is doing and if she is carrying out my instructions.

[Flashback]

I had packed all my things and was leaving for China. All Hydra members were happy that we were expanding but there was someone who was upset and sad that I was leaving.
