An Unexpected Encounter

Arthur was excited for more than just any reason.His skill combination which came as a reward from upgrading his system turned out to be a more than just special.In fact both his combination and limitless Void could be said to be the best skills he's received so far.

And now due to combination he has now acquired a top speed related skill,his 'accelate' although he's yet to test it out.Right now he and Miss Jade were ready and set to head to Moon city.Another solid reason of why he felt excited.

Miss Jade had opt not to use her speed to travel to Moon city due to some minor reasons.Moon city was quite far from Ember city and with that kind of distance she couldn't think of anyway Arthur could feel at ease with her unparallel speed.

So the only way both of them could get to Moon city would be by a vehicle.The modern vehicles were quite special since they could hover above the ground.She brought a latest hover bike she had bought recently.

One of the things Arthur had learnt from his stay with Miss Jade was how she never struggled with money,she was quite rich.They both got on the hover bike and equiped their helmets on.

*1 hour later*

"Alright....here we are".

Miss Jade voiced out grabbing onto her helmet and pulling it off.Her silver hair flowing down to rest on her back.She truly was an epitome of beauty.Infront of them was a three story building."Come on..Lucas happens to be on the upper floor".

Following behind Miss Jade they entered the building and headed for the elevator.They however didn't expect to meet a middle aged man with a weird haircut and a full beard on.

When they first entered it seemed as if the man was deep in thought since he didn't notice them however from his prideful smile one could tell he was not a kind man.

Only after reaching the upper floor did the man also exit along with them.It should have been obvious since he never stopped on the middle floor.

"Oh you guys are already here".The man voiced out reaching Infront of a certain man and his wife who's child stood behind them."oh Officer Raf is an honour to see you again".The woman was the firsr to speak up.

"Hmm"Miss Jade suddenly noticed how Arthur had slightly changed his expression from his usual nonchalant look.

"Right..and thank you once again for taking in our child and training her".The man just waved it off and gave out a warming smile to their compliments."Nothing really..I'm amazed at her talent, she's already reached the prime rank at such young age".

"You!!...what are you doing here".The female child in the middle pointed at Arthur."Come on Miss Jade let's hurry".Arthur looked at Miss Jade almost as if he wanted to quickly disappear from this area.

"You ungrateful child,you still have the guts to come here after everything you did to me".The mother who seemed to have seen who her daughter pointed at voiced out with disdain evident in her eyes.

"Hmm...is that you Arthur".Only the man seemed to be calm about this situation not shouting but on the contrary speaking with a calm tone.

"Arthur...I'm guessing they were your previous family right".Miss Jade voided out grabbing onto his shoulder to make him stay"Why don't we clear everything once and for all".With a straight annoyed face she said out.

Arthur heard what she said and couldn't help but admire her words.He stared at them and didn't take his eyes off them for a second

"Child?do I know you people".

"Is that what you say after we brought you up to this world you ungrateful excuse for a son"The mother seemed to be getting angrier by the second.

"Brought me to this world?what is this bitch spouting,heck I don't even know you"Arthur voiced out with his usual nonchalant expression.

"Bitch?ungrateful brat".

James calm expression turned into one filled with anger as he was about to approach Arthur but before he could do it Officer Raf stood forward.

"Now kid that isn't the right way to speak to someone who birthed you"

"Who are you...did someone ask of your opinion on this matter".Miss Jade nodded in approval to Arthur's actions.Although Arthur didn't know the man he knew he was an officer from the Awakened Organisation but he could care less.

"What did you just say to me brat".

His expression immediately turned sour as he threw a fist towards Arthur.When James and his wife along with Arella saw this,the couldn't help but feel at ease.He was finally getting what he deserved.

"Truly Pathetic indeed"

The last thing Officer Raf heard was a sweet feminine voice before his whole body was slammed onto the wooden floor of the building."I-I-I can't m-move,my body is being suppressed".

James and Mary immediately took a step back due to shock.The man they referred to as officer Jar was a powerful awakened who had entered the transcendent ranks being in the 1st stage of the sage rank.

But right Infront of their own eyes they saw his body being slammed heavily onto the floor with such speed they couldn't help but feel sorry for him.Even Arthur himself was quite stunned.

Whenever he sparred with Miss Jade she had never revealed any of her abilities so even he who could be considered close to Miss Jade knew next to nothing about her ability.

"Who gave you permission to touch my child filth".When Officer Raf slowly lifted his head,he could feel a powerful aura exuding from the female's body.

"Who is this woman,why is she referring to Arthur as her child".Mary inwardly said and it wasn't only her who had this thought

"Such high killing intent,those eyes,why I can't move....it can't be!!"He inwardly said.

"E-Empress I'm truly s-sorry."To him even trying to speak had been a problem for him.He was being suffocated to the extent his breathing was distorting.

"Since I'm in such a good mood I won't kill you now scram". Although she voiced out with a casual tone Raf could feel the power behind it"I'm so sorry Empress I'll leave right away".

With that he bolted from the upper floor leaving only her and Arthur along with the Xane family as alone."You did a great job Arthur,I've never felt more proud of you".

Arthur's display of not backing down even though he stood before a powerhouse made Miss Jade admire his bravery alot.Not just that but Arthur finally accepting to not be apart of the family he disowned made her proud.

"Well I have such a powerful teacher no one can harm me heh"He said revealing a cheeky smile.Miss Jade then smacked him on the head"Continue that shameless attitude and I'll make you cook dinner for ever."

"Yikes"

"Now you guys...I just want to thank you so much for gifting me such a wonderful son.Dont you dare call him your child infront of me again".
