However, my brother sucks. He's a selfish prick who wants to see the world burn. Looks like I have to use my power to stop him. That must be really sucks. By the way, my name is Evan. I'm an alien from a planet called Xionezsoqiuvenoririrexunaxiantiqinoverizovadusuruxivurunzezex. Being an alien is also sucks.

19. Soon, This Part of the Story is Over, Really

The members of the special forces kept trying to hold back the monster, who continued to fight even though his condition was so bad. They even had to hit the monster several times with the back of their rifles. Harsh words came out of their mouth over and over again.

Shane and Kara approached Evan, who was stunned at the sight. Shane walked unsteadily, with his body bent and hands hanging down. Meanwhile, Kara is holding her bleeding left elbow while grimacing in pain.

"Are you all right?" Evan turned to his two friends.

"You are the target, but you seem unbelievably okay." Shane looked up and laughed bitterly. "Kara is injured. Popo is also injured. I am not injured, but how can I explain the condition of that scooter to my parents?"

Kara and Evan turned to Shane's scooter, which was still lying on the paved road in such bad condition. Many of the parts were broken or torn off.

With a stiff grimace, Kara lightly patted Shane's shoulder. "Sorry, Shane. I'll compensate you for your scooter later."

Shane bent his body even more. "No, Kara. I know your family isn't that rich. Besides, you did that to help Evan. Evan should have compensated for my loss .... But, he doesn't have any money either."

Taking a deep breath, Shane crouched down and buried his head in his hands. Evan and Kara looked at each other. Evan asked Kara what they should do, but without making a sound. Kara can only answer with a shrug.

"I can tell about the showrooms that sell scooters of this kind at low prices." Mimi who was standing beside her master chirped. "I just searched the internet."

Evan shook his head. "It doesn't help, Mimi."

Suddenly Shane looked at Evan. "Ah! How about this! As compensation, you turn an object into a girl for me!"

Seeing Shane's teary eyes shining with a pleading light, Evan could only reply, "F-fine, but I can't do it now. I don't know why and Mimi won't tell you why."

Getting a glance from her master, Mimi looked away with her arms crossed and her eyes looking up. It was obvious he was hiding something.

Meanwhile, Kara kicks Shane's ass and grumbles, "Geez! If you want a girl, you should try to get close to someone, don't use instant methods like that!"

Shane got up, rubbing his bottom. "That's none of your business!"

"We got information from above. One of them is information about you who turned out to be from another planet." Bob suddenly appeared out of nowhere. The bandaged special forces member approached Evan. "Maybe they told us about that info so we wouldn't ask too many questions when we were given absurd orders. Well, we don't really believe it, though."

A stranger appeared and spoke very suddenly. It made Evan, Shane, Mimi, and Kara speechless in confusion.

Bob sighed tiredly, ignoring the behavior of the four teenagers who seemed to ignore his existence. "Look, I was given orders to ask you about your superpower and what this girl in green actually does."

The special forces member pointed at Popo who was still standing in a strange pose and the others turned to that girl.

"I know you may not want to tell me further." Bob continued speaking to Evan. "However, this is for your good too ...."

"As I said earlier, I can give life to any inanimate object, but now I can't do it again without any apparent reason. Then, that girl is Popo, who was originally a packet of seaweed-flavored potato chips. She is preparing a special move to defeat that ugly monster, "Evan replied in a flash, then shrugged. "Do you have more questions?"

Bob froze. Shane and Kara hastily covered Evan's mouth with their hands.

"Are you fucking insane!?" Shane cursed in front of his friend's face.

"How can you tell your secret to just anyone!?" Kara added in a fierce tone.

Evan brushed off his two friends' hands with an annoyed face. "They already know I'm an alien! Sooner or later they will know about my superpower! I even showed it earlier! And, they are not just anyone! They are the authorities!"

"You can be held up for research! That research can torture you!" Shane's tone rose even higher.

"Actually, the people claiming to be from the government have contacted me. They guaranteed that the master wouldn't be tortured. They have given up on doing things like that. They don't want Master to go berserk or something. There was a big tragedy related to alien confinement. Anyway, they want you to feel safe and happy, Master." Mimi explained suddenly. "Well, they will still examine you, but they will not lock you up or torture you."

Evan snorted. "Why did you just say it now, Mimi?"

While sticking out her tongue a little and closing one eye, Mimi lightly hit her own head. "Because the situation has been so intense, Master. I don't have time to say it."

Seeing the cute behavior of the cellphone girl, Evan felt very annoyed for some reason.

"But, it all makes sense. Maybe that's why Evan's dad can live a normal life, even though he still needs to be watched." Shane rubbed his chin, looking thoughtful.

"Are you satisfied with the long chat?" Bob asked suddenly again. "I told the top about the special move of this kid you say is made of potato chips. And they want to prove it. They've asked our leader to wait for what will happen."

Evan and his friends turned to the special forces team, who were all scattered around Kevin from some distance, aiming their guns. Kevin himself was helpless because his hands and feet were trapped by several handcuffs at once. He couldn't even growl because his mouth was bandaged with duct tape. Now, all he could do was squirm.

Evan turned to Popo, who was still standing with his legs bent slightly and with a strange strained face.

"Maybe we should step back a little. We don't know how big the range of Popo's special move is." Shane whispered to his friends.

Evan nodded. He took a few steps back, followed by Mimi, Kara, and Shane. The members of the special forces who saw that also withdrew to maintain further distance from the monster.

The situation turned quiet. They waited.

Evan swallowed hard. His heart was pounding. Not because of fear, but he was so curious about Popo's special move. He could not yet imagine what kind of special move related to snacks.

The time passed by a few minutes, and they were still waiting.

One of the members of the special forces chuckled. "Actually, what are we waiting for!? We look stupid ..."

The members choked up, as did everyone else, except Mimi. Popo has already lifted her wand up. Her eyes were open and her head looked up.

Her expression was so serious. Green light emanated from the head of her wand, which was shaped like a potato.

Evan's heart beat even faster.

Popo took a breath, then shouted out loud. "Umami Seaweed Monosodium Glutamate Sparkling!!!"

Evan immediately gaped wide.

Popo swung the wand forward. The wand gave off a gleaming white powder and some sort of tiny dark green patches. They all moved fast and hit Kevin's face.

Then, the silence returned. Evan couldn't help but froze with his head full of questions. He didn't even understand what he had just seen.

The special forces member who had been complaining is now complaining again. "Hey, I guess this is really just a joke ...."

"Groooaaar!!!" Kevin roared out loud, making the members of the special forces bracing with their rifles. The monster began to squirm wildly. "It hurts!!! My head hurts so much!!! Help!!!"

The corners of Evan's lips twitched. "That... That effect is like Chinese restaurant syndrome? Like the old rumors that Chinese restaurant dishes contain a lot of MSG and it gives you a headache?"

"As I said. What constitutes the being that you give life comes from values that grow in society. More precisely, the values that you know." Mimi explained.

The desire to pinch Mimi's cheeks returned to Evan. The young man was very upset by this once again anticlimactic and absurd situation.

"That's the punishment because you want to hurt my master!" Popo shouted out loud.

Kevin continued to struggle before finally he was knocked unconscious with his mouth wide open, tongue sticking out to the side, and eyes looking in different directions.

The special forces members approach Kevin. The monster's body parts were all enveloped with white light and change shape. When the light vanished in matter of seconds, all that could be seen was Kevin with his normal human form.
