The title of a demon slayer

{Lets assume that Lynx has ended his training and has the knowledge and skills to perform total concentration}

Long time has past and it is time for the final selection.

"I Wish you good luck you two" Shinobu said to Lynx and Kanao

"Thanks I will be back soon. See you!" Lynx said as he went off. Kanao was just standing there

"You can go. Follow him to the final selection" Shinobu told Kanao and so she followed after Lynx

She had a bit of struggle to keep up with him. He was quite fast even with armor on.

They ran a long way, but both seemed to not break a sweat. once they reached the place they found themselves onto a path of stones and around it Wisteria trees. Lynx recognized the plant as Shinobu told him about.

There were stairs and They climbed them and saw many people, But not this much.

They waited for a bit and Lynx became impatient. Another person with a blue kimono came from the stairs and looked around.

Once he was there it started. Two girls, One with white and the other with opposite colored hair.

They started talking together. Their voices synced. "Good evening. Tonight you have come to enter the demon slayer course final selection. Thank you for being here."

Then only the white haired girl continued "Here on mount fujikasane. There are several demons that were captured alive by demon slayers swordsman. They are kept here for this event."

Then the black haired girl continued "The wisteria blossom prevents them from leaving. They bloom on this mountain year round. And they cover everything from the base to half way to the top."

They switched again and the white haired girl continued "But the wisteria ends here, So demons abound from this point on. And they are very hungry."

And again they switched and the black haired girl Continued "In order to complete final selection. You must survive seven days beyond the wisteria's protection."

Then they synced again "Now, your trial begins." As they said that Lynx rushed and was blood thirsty. The hunt began

He was running faster than before with his hands behind him. He heard a sound of breaking sticks and dried leaf. He was so consumed by the urge to kill and so jumped toward the sound pulling his claws out and slashing the creature. It was a demon who he cut the head off with one slash

Lynx was quite satisfied by that, But he wanted more. He started running and looking for more demons. He had the intentions to go on full genocide and kill everything in his way, But it changed where loud steps were heard

He ran toward the source of the sound and found a bug demon holding a boy. He was excited and went for a fight. He jumped and scratched it's skin taking it's attention

"Hum? And who is this insignificant human supposed to be." The demon asked

"I am looking for a good fight. Don't disappoint me. Worm" Lynx replied as the demon got angrier and tried to him. Just to get his hand cut off

The demon had a lot of hands on it's body. "What is the problem can't hit me?" Lynx said with a cocky expression invisible for people while he wears a mask.

The demon got even madder at him and tried once again to attack him, But was reflected and jumped. Lynx put his hands together with the sharp side of the claws pointed away from him. In the blink of an eye Lynx cut it's head off like a scissor. "You can't defeat me. Why would you even try?" Lynx said looking at the head of the now as good as dead demon. It started crying, but turned into dust. (How foolish...)

Then Lynx gave a sigh of satisfaction and said "This was nice." His thirst for battle has been fulfilled. And now he just sat around for a week. If any demon comes close and tries to attack him. It was already dead.

Lynx counted the days until it's end. And once it was time. He just stood up and started walking away. The world seemed calm around him. And he enjoyed the silence and calmness. (I can find enjoyment in calmness?) He hasn't experience enjoyment in calmness before, But now he did and he liked it, yet that does not mean that he is not attracted to violence. Lost in his thoughts he didn't realized that he has already reached the wisteria.

(Huh?...) He took a grip of reality and realized that he made it up the stairs. It was already morning. And when he climbed the stairs he saw four kids Kanao being one of them

"Welcome back everyone... And congratulations. We are pleased to see you safe." Said The girls that came out of no where. They were the same girls as those who started the course

"So i made it back alive... Where is my sword?"

"Patience. We must first make you all uniforms. We will start by making you measurements, Next your rank will be engraved on the back of your hand. For your reference there are ten ranks in total. Kinoe, Kinoto, Hinoe, Hinoto, Tsuchi-noe, Tsuchi-noto, Kanoe, Kanoto, Mizunoe, Mizunoto... You all start Mizunoto, This is the lowest rank in the demon slayer corp." They said

"And our swords?" The same kid asked

"In a moment you will be given the chance to select the ore that will be used to forge your swords. However It will be ten to fifteen days before the weapons are ready for you, But first." The white haired girl said before she clapped her hand. Once she did five crows came down from the sky landing on their new owner. It was quite the match as the crow synced with the color of Lynx's armor

"The Kasugai Crows are primarily used for communications." The girl said

The guy was angry about the fact that he will have to wait and so grabbed the girl by the hair

"Stop Wasting my time or I will kill you." Lynx said looking at the boy

The boy looked back at him and saw his serious expression. At that moment he let go of the girl's hair.

"Are you done chatting?" The other girl asked and revealed the ores

"Now you will have the chance to choose The ore that will be used for your sword with which you will kill countless demons." The black haired girl said standing next to the table

Lynx didn't hesitate like the others and picked the first that came to his sight. He handed it to the girl and said "Could you tell the Smith to make shuriken by this design?" Then he pulled a shuriken and showed it to her

"I will see if I could do anything." She answered as she pointed for him to leave the ore on the table and the shuriken with it.

He did and so went off without waiting for Kanao.

He was already far. As he saw Kanao rushing toward him. He took it as a challenge and so started running faster, But she didn't gave up and started running faster as well. They were on the same speed and the wind was blowing through their faces. The filling was nice and Lynx forgot about the competition. He felt like he is flying. Which gave him a calming effect. He no longer took it as competition, but an experience. He got carried away and Kanao managed to catch up with him.

Once they got to the butterfly mansion Shinobu was already waiting for them. When she saw them she waved her hand with that smile of hers. Lynx waved his hand back at her and Kanao just watched...

[Time skip 15 days]

Kanao was sitting outside waiting for the delivery. Some man with a hat and bells hanging from it.

"I am here to deliver Kanao Tsuyuri's sword And Lynx's throwables. I Forged them myself. They are made out of materials that can be collected only from the mountain closest to the sun. You see the mountain is bathed in sunlight all the time through the day."

"No need for details i already know the drill. If Kanao wants to know do your lectures to her, not me." Lynx said looking at the man who was unsheathing The weapons.

The man was annoyed about the fact that he won't be listened to and gave him the shurikens and continued.

Lynx then went off inside and said the news to Shinobu "Hey Shinobu the weapons came. And i got my little upgrade"

"Good and what is it?" She asked. After she asked that Lynx pulled out the newly forged shurikens and showed them to her

"I have an idea for those. You work with chemistry Right?" Lynx replied

"Yes what about it?" Shinobu said

"Could you help me make those shurikens slow or weaken their target. By that i mean. When I hit a demon with those. They get slower so it is a bit more easier even though against me they are still pretty much dead even without getting hit by them." Lynx explained

"If they are dead anyways Why would I bother doing that?" Shinobu asked

"Actually forget it. I have another question." Lynx said

"Yes what is it?" Shinobu replied

"How do i create a breathing style?" Lynx asked holding his chin

"Oh... Just visualize yourself controlling the subject behind your breathing style. This is how I created mine." Shinobu said happy to hear this question

"Alright so do you want to hear my idea?" Lynx asked looking at her

"Sure. What is your idea?" Shinobu asked excited to hear him

"Shadow breathing. As you can guess by the Shadow. This Breathing style will be beastly used in darkness, But that does not mean that it won't work throughout the day." Lynx said

Shinobu thought for a bit and was curious about how it will work

"I can't connect it with any of the existing breathing styles except sun. Why is that?" Shinobu asked

"Because where there is light, The shadow follows. And sun breathing is the light for the breathing styles." Lynx explained

"Fair point. I wish you good luck developing it." Shinobu said looking at him

"Thanks. This night i will try to create it." Lynx said as he went out side waiting for it to become night time
