New breathing style and practice

It was finally setting night. Lynx had the intentions to be quick with making his breathing style.

He jumped off the roof and started running to a darker place. Which was the forest. He imagined what the forms would do and how they work. And so sat down on the ground and started visualizing himself controlling the shadows. Created by the moon.

His first form is Hunter in the shadows. He would pretend to throw a stealth bomb on the ground and turn invisible for a bit. Which gives him more sneaking potential.

His second form is Shadow marks. He would hit an enemy with his claws and put a shadow mark on them. Which he detonates at will or automatic based on his condition.

His third form is Shadow cuts. He would slice an enemy or something with his claws and the part that his claws move through are replaced by a shadow. Which decades by time and splits the object in half. The shadow is what detaches the parts of the object. He can also make the shadow fade in seconds at will

His Forth form is Shadow extension. His claws would became longer and he will have greater reach because of that.

As he thought of them he stood up and pretended to throw a stealth bomb in the ground with his eyes still closed. When he opened them he found that he managed to become invisible. When the effect wore off he used his second form on a rock close to him. At first nothing happened except the clash between the rock and his claws which made a loud sound. After that he detonates the shadow mark which made the stone to explode into pieces. "Glad to see it works."

I wonder if i can use two abilities at once. When he thought of it he took a breath again and used forth form. It extended the reach of his claws and they started glowing into a blue light yet the color felt dark. Then he used third form on the fallen tree next to him. And the place that he slashed was replaced into a slowly fading shadow...

"I did it. I used two at once And i created my breathing technique. That was easier than i thought" He said looking at his hands

A familiar voice was heard from behind "I see that you managed to do it." It was Shinobu's voice

"Yes i did it. I would like to test it on some demons." Lynx replied

"You have probably given a kasugai crow. It will tell you if there are missions." Said shinobu

A Crow was heard into the distance.

"Here it is." Shinobu said

When it landed on Lynx's shoulder it started talking "There are disappearances in the close by village. Your task is to find who is responsible for it and kill them."

"I guess you have a task. Goodbye" Shinobu said as she walked away '

"Alright crow. Lead the way." Lynx said as the crow started fling away. Lynx ran below it.

Once they reached the village Lynx jumped ontop of one of the buildings and watched the town below him. Everything seemed calm until a person left his house and was attacked by something

Lynx took a breath and used first form and lumped toward the thing. The man tried to scream for help, But had the hand of the demon on his mouth. The demon started running away as Lynx was silently chasing after the demon. The demon was pretty fast, But not enough eventually Lynx jumped at the demon like a wild cat and cut it's head off. The man who was not sitting on the ground was crying and trembling over the stress the event caused him.

Lynx just left quietly without even waiting for the man to thank him.

The crow flew above him and said "There is another task for you. Not so far away there are reports that a forest is infested with demons. Your task will be to kill every demon you find there."

"Alright lead the way." Lynx said he was actually getting bored of finding weak demons.

The crow started flying and Lynx followed it. and kept up with it without a struggle. On his way he ran past the butterfly mansion and took a turn from there. After that he found himself into the forest. From there he started running around searching for demons. He saw some who were fighting and so used first form and jumped to execute them on the spot. He killed them without a problem and continued searching. He found more who were just standing around aimlessly.

He took another breath and used first form and executed them one by one. One of them were more aware than the others and so looked around seeing his fellow demons dying without any reason. He was scared Until he felt Lynx's cold claws at the back of his neck. At that point he was not scared, But terrified. Lynx executed it without hesitation and searched around for some time. He found nothing more and so went off (If any demons have escaped the forest before i came. I will find them.)

Lynx felt quite tired and so went off for the butterfly mansion. When he got there Shinobu was sitting on the roof and looking toward the sky. Lynx jumped on the roof and sat beside her

"How was your first mission?" She asked

"They were Two. I killed about.. i don't know 10 demons just in one night." Lynx said

"Good for you. I see you managed to create your own breathing technique in one night. I needed more time for mine." Shinobu replied smiling like usual

"Even though i didn't use much of my technique. I only used first form. Which is my main way of sneaking around, I mean i can turn invisible and kill anything without their knowledge of my presence." Lynx said

"Well i think there will be moments when you will use the other part of your technique." Shinobu answered

"Probably, When one strike is not enough"

"Wait! So you are telling me you ended all your battles just in one strike?" Shinobu said as she Lifted her face and looked at the sky

"Yes. I am just too good at taking enemies by surprise. I sure am an assassin" Lynx said as he did the same

"You do seem like it. I mean your breathing technique is based around sneaking and ending fights in one hit." Shinobu replied

"Yeah..."

[Time skip: Next day]

Lynx has been sitting on the roof till morning He was even more motivated for a battle even if everything ended in one slash. He was in hope of finding a new opponent that can survive more than zero hits from here.

The crow came and said "You have a new task. Not all demons were killed yesterday in the forest. They have been found lurking around the forest and further. Your job is to find them and kill them"

"Alright." Lynx said as he started running toward the locations.

Once he reached the outer line of the forest it was already sunset. Because it was still not night the demons were stuck either in the forest or in the shadows.

He ran close to the forest and saw something it was hiding in the shadows and so jumped at it. It was a demon who was dumb enough to not go deeper or hide better. At this point it is hide and seek. Which means they will have to hide or die. And if they are found they will die

The demon was scared seeing Lynx right next to him and froze. "What a pity you will be the first one for today." Then Lynx cut it's head off without much of a problem. He thought of more efficient way of hunting demons and so thought of how he could surpass the need to search this much. And came with Fifth form Senses in the shadows. He can get the full awareness of the position of anything as long as it is in range and in the shadows.

After that he took a breath and used fifth form. In a close by range he sensed non human being which meant it was a demon. He rushed toward the location. He found a demon sitting. It looked at him and froze in fear. Lynx swiftly cut it's head off.

Then he used fifth form again and sensed more enemies. He hunted them down one by one. And ended their lives. He assumed that the demons are dead as he couldn't sense anymore and so made his kills sixteen.

"Alright i am done here." He said and ran off to rest. At this point it was fully night and so his abilities had the most potential by that time, But he had no need to use it. And so continued running.
