"We are about to close. If you want, you can just order but it would be for dining out."
When she noticed that the man did not seem to have any intention of leaving right away. Cassie told the other party that he could not stay. But, of course, she said it in a roundabout manner.
Yet the man pretended as though he did not hear a single thing from what she said and even settled himself at one of the tables.
The other party was wearing business attire so Cassie thought that he was just a typical office worker who just wanted to buy a cup of coffee or something after his long day working at his office.
But the man remained silent.
He was looking outside the glass pane even though there was nothing outside to see. He seemed to me in a daze or something, looking at a distance.
Left with no choice, Cassie abandoned what she was doing and approached the guy so she could ask him what he needed.
"Can I get you something?"
She asked as soon as she was standing next to his table, a pen and small notebook were in her hand, ready to jot down the other party's order if there was any.
However, the customer still refused to talk to her.
"As you may see, we are about to close, right?"
Cassie forced a smile out from her lips and tried her best not to sound irritated when she uttered those words.
"Yes."
At last, the other replied; albeit, short.
"So can I get your order, please?"
Cassie urged, and before she could even react in time, the man turned to her and she saw his face.
He was the skull-faced party goer that attacked her the other night!
"Die!!!!!"
He said and before Cassie could even do something, he already pulled her hair and bashed her head straight to the table.
Almost immediately, Cassie felt lightheaded due to the impact of her head hitting the table. When she touched the spot where it hurt the most, she felt something sticky on her hand.
"It hurts like hell..."
She muttered under her breath as she looked at her hand that was stained with her own blood.
"Hi there."
She heard someone speak to her and when she raised her head, she gasped because she saw her assailant towering over her.
"What do you want from me?"
She asked him, all the while moving backward and trying to put some safe distance between them.
"It is not about what I want. It is just that, I can't help it."
The other party replied as he also took his steps leisurely, closing the distance between him and Cassie.
"Why are you doing this?"
Cassie could not help but ask because as far as she could tell, she did not have a beef against anyone. Or at least not as serious to the point that someone would want her dead.
Besides, she did not think that she was in any way acquianted with her attacker.
It was for this reason why she was bewildered when she learned that some random guy was so eager to bring her harm when she did not even know him in the first place.
"You are a seer."
"What the heck is that seer? I don't even know what that is!"
"Oh, that sucks. But I am going to kill you anyway."
At this point, Cassie knew that she was not in the liberty of time to chat with the other party. So without wasting another second, she crawled on all fours, trying to get away from him as far as possible.
However, before she could even get away and escaped, the guy managed to get a hold of his feet, in the nick of time.
Cassie was helplessly pulled back, and he turned her around and forced her on the floor. Then he tried to squeeze the air out of her by wringing her neck. It was clear for all eyes to see that he intended to strangle Cassie to her death.
"He wants you dead."
He spat those words through his gritted teeth. While Cassie on the other hand was trying her best to pry herself out from the man's grasp.
"Get your filthy hands off me!"
She said, but be mindful that the above statement was already translated and edited as the author already tried to get rid of the part where Cassie was speaking while at the same time trying hard to gasped for some breath.
Cassie was completely overwhelmed by the strength of her assailant and she knew well enough that there was no way she could ever overpower him.
So using all the strength and willpower that she could muster at that moment, she abandoned her attempts to pry his fingers away from her neck and instead raised her hand and used her pen to stab the other party straight to his left eye.
