"Your skills are amazing, but your looks are far superior"
"Hahhh, I know I'm charming but hearing it coming from you makes it even more true"
"Holy son, I am saying this with profound respect but what you are doing is very... concerning" Yuuki spoke as she released a sigh of frustration
Aetheris was busy being complimented by his clone, Yuuki refused to play any sort of game with him because...the idea of being manipulated again didn't sit well with her, especially by a child.
"Yuuki, this clone has a single command...to win against me in a game of chess.. so the compliments are not my doing " Aetheris shook his head with disappointment, Yuuki's words portrayed him as a narcissist.. something that he is truly not.
Yuuki's slitted crimson eyes slightly glowed as she stared at the clone, she began to penetrate the layers behind the garments worn by the clone.
From her observation, the clone was not only made up of Mana but it had many interconnected complex threads that were similar to blood vessels and this observation made a lot of sense regarding her loss
' So that's how he won, although its internal structure is barbaric... it is quite magnificent for someone who does not know cloning Arts ' thought Yuuki with a sense of satisfaction
"Yuuki, where are we headed?" Aetheris asked, his eyes narrowing as he snapped his fingers, dispelling the clone in an instant.
Aetheris swept open the carriage curtains, revealing a breathtaking panorama of rugged mountains, their diverse ranges stretching towards the horizon and captivating his attention.
The carriage moved swiftly, yet not so fast that the scenery became a blur, for Yuuki, who commanded the carriage, knew Aetheris's curious nature and intentionally maintained a pace that would allow him to take in the outside views if he so desired.
"Is that a moving tree., I wonder how it tastes"muttered Aetheris as he subconsciously licked his lips.
Aetheris's words hit Yuuki like a slap, their audacity leaving her momentarily breathless as she silently gulped, her eyes flashing with a mix of shock and indignation.
"Holy son, what knowledge do you have on mystical, magic beasts, monsters, artifacts, or spiritual plants" questioned Yuuki with a tone of concern.
"Well I don't know anything about the things you just mentioned but..I think they are meant to be eaten based on your description" Aetheris replied with the most pure yet clueless expression
' my thoughts are suddenly filled with food... Remiel'

"Holy son, are you listening to me"
"Yes Yes, continue"
"Magical beasts have different levels of intelligence based on their level of bloodline that means pathways are influenced by their bloodline purity
Monsters are basically magical beasts who failed to evolve into a mystical beasts therefore they become corrupted by corrosive Mana
Spiritual plants have different varieties and complex hierarchies but to put it simply, they are plants that are sentient and similar to how mystical beasts can take on a humanoid form upon reaching a certain age
Spiritual plants can evolve and do the same"
Yuuki proudly smiled as she saw the shining glint of curiosity in the eyes of Aetheris, her ego was slightly inflated as she saw his clueless expression
"Then what about the creatures that reside in dungeons, are they monsters or.. what"
"Damn you ask too many questions " muttered Yuuki softly as she sighed
"What did you say"
*Cough Cough Cough*
"Creatures that reside in dungeons are not monsters...in a way, it is a complex subject to explain but let me simplify the basics.
The creatures residing in a dungeon are called the fallen, they can be monsters, humans, vampires, or harpies. e.t.c, but since they come from a fallen dimension they are called the fallen but... the fallen are different from outsiders and outlaws
Unlike outsiders and outlaws, The fallen are classified into different threat levels based on, their pathway formation, race, Energy emission, the dimension they come from, and other factors...it is actually a lot more complicated than that but that's the easiest explanation I can come up with"
"I see " Aetheris replied as he gave Yuuki a nod, her explanation surprised him but it also satisfied his curiosity.
"Meow meow meow meow meow meow "
Aetheris suddenly felt two paws gently cover his eyes, similar to the children's guessing game 'Blind Man's Bluff'.
"Kitty~ I haven't seen you in a while, were you in here all along... Yuuki you should've said something" Aetheris joyfully approached Sebastian and scooped him up from the top of his head while shaking his head in disappointment towards Yuuki's
"You know that this poor cat is alone and powerless and yet you kept quiet the entire"
"Meow meow meow meow meow," Sebastian purred contentedly, stretching out his sleek body as he proudly took a languid stance, his tail twitching ever so slightly as he closed his eyes in blissful surrender.
He and Aetheris had bonded over countless moments like these, and the fact that Aetheris thought he was just a normal, adorable cat only added joy to Sebastian's delight.
Little did Aetheris know, their connection went far beyond mere pet and owner - their hearts were intertwined by a deep, unspoken understanding that only grew stronger with each passing day.
As Sebastian basked in the warmth of Aetheris' affection, he couldn't help but feel grateful for the 'coincidence' that had brought them together, and he reveled in the joy of being seen and loved for who he 'truly' was, even if that truth remained a secret known only to him.
Yuuki felt a drop of sweat streaming down her face as she saw the slight glow of Sebastian's eyes...a silent threat.
Although Aetheris thought Sebastian was just lazing around in the carriage but.. he wasn't there in the first place and that's what horrified Yuuki
Because the defense mechanisms of the carriage such as the [Absolute Barrier] that prevents any form of spatial distortion and more was easily bypassed
"Holy son, we have arrived" Yuuki spoke quickly as she avoided Sebastian's threatening gaze
