Logan's came back to the pack and saw Jack, then he asked "Where is Lia?"

"She is upstairs and haven't come down since last night."

Logan felt that something was wrong so he went up to Lia's room and entered without knocking and he was astonished by what he saw. Lia was lying on the bed looking so pale but that was not all, she was also bleeding from her nose. Logan cautiously walked closer to Lia bed side and asked "Are you sick?"

Lia saw Logan cautiousness, she smiled bitterly to herself and said "Very soon I will lose my power and then you can finally be happy with Ava.

"What made you so sick?" Logan asked, getting straight to the point.

"I'm fine, I am just a little weak" Lia softly replied

"There is blood on your nose, tell me, are you really alright?"

"Do you finally care about me after seeing me in this condition." Lia said with tears and hope in her eyes.

Logan sat close to Lia and replied less coldly but still with no emotion in his voice "You drank Ava blood didn't you? I have seen it before, how a witch dies after consuming Nove rose."

"I just wanted revenge from my mother, and I thought taking away her chance of immortality would be the best revenge, but I never thought that Ava would poison a woman she claims to love more than her own mother. My mother was right about one thing, I should never have underestimate Ava."

"Why did you want revenge from your mother? She save you, didn't she?"

"She did but I was never love by her. She used me to accomplished her mission and I did them hoping she would one day truly love me. And for the first time in my life, I just wanted one thing, I just wanted you and she refused me of my one request so I thought I could take away something she wanted as well."

"So you decided to drink Ava blood thinking it would grant you immortality. It takes up to a week before a witch start noticing the symptoms of the poison and Ava gave Serefina that poison just yesterday, so how is it possible that you are feeling its effect right now?"

Lia kept quiet for a few seconds before she replied "The mate bond I did, weaken me. It took a lot of magic for me to become your mate and I still wasn't fully recovered before I learnt a spell that could seal Serefina power."

"You are saying that right at this moment, Serefina is powerless. How long will it last?"

"As long as I am alive" Lia replied.

"And how long do you have?" Logan asked again.

"Some days or maybe a week." Lia said as she suddenly held Logan hands and asked "I know you feel the bond between us. Just for these days or week can't you be my true mate?, can't you love me and cherish me just the way you do to Ava. Please Logan.?" Lia begged as tears slip out of her eyes.

Logan looked at Lia tearsful eyes, he heard her pleading words, he knew he was supposed to feel sorry for her, after all, she was used by her mother throughout her life, but right at this moment Logan felt nothing, he couldn't find a trace of pity in his heart. Although he felt the mate bond with Lia, he just didn't care about it. All those years of emptiness were finally gone when he met Ava, she was his light and soul. He could not imagine himself loving another woman. He looked at Lia and said "I do not love you Lia and I never will, even if you have days or weeks to live, it won't change anything and you brought this upon yourself Lia. I do feel sorry for you but I can't help you."

Lia gave a sarcastic laughed and said "You said you feel sorry for me and yet I see no emotions in your eyes."

Logan kept quiet and didn't give Lia and reply. He got up from Lia bedside and told her to get some rest.

Lia watched as Logan was about to leave and then she came to a decision and told Logan "You once said i was obsessed with you, well perhaps you are right, I am obsessed with you and you will be wrong if you were to let your guard down just because you think I am weak and poison"

Logan looked at Lia and gave her a taunting smirk as he replied "What do you possibly think you can still do in your condition. Face it Lia, the game is over and you've lost."

"Do you really think that Ava loves you?" Lia asked mockingly.

Logan gave Lia a calm and bored look as he said "Do not bother to create discord between me and my wife."

"Ava has always love Serefina before she found out about her true colors. Don't you think it's strange that she married you without any fight. If you do not believe me then you can ask her your self. Ask your beloved Ava why she agreed to marry you, but I doubt you will like the answer."

As Logan listened to Lia words, he had a bad feeling about truly asking Ava if she had a purpose for agreeing to marry him. He looked at Lia and said "Nothing you say will change the fact that I love Ava"

Then he left and saw Jack who was standing by the doorway. He walked up to Jack and asked "You said on the day King Ford announced my marriage with Ava, she met with Serefina that same night, right?"

"Yes. Do you really think that Ava married you for a reason and if Ava really betrayed you and all these were a crazy plan between her and Serefina would you ever forgive her?" Jack asked, he heard the conversation between Lia and Logan and he was truly worried about his friend.

"I wouldn't be able to take it Jack. If Ava truly betrayed me, then I wouldn't know what to do." Logan said with a distant look in his eyes, no one could tell what he was actually thinking.
