Chaotic Bar Fight, End - Leaving the Bar, Leaving the World!

As Lady Gath was hurtling through the air, her breath escaped her. Clutching her fractured spine, she prepared for the imminent impact.

Mid-spin, her gaze fixed on the bar she was rapidly approaching. Suddenly, a blinding golden flash erupted, and there, seemingly conjured from nowhere into her trajectory, Ota appeared.

He wasn't by himself either, the little creatures robes were held fast by the monster that had just broken her back!

Ota's big yellow eyes were stretched open as wide as they possibly could go, somewhat from the shock and mostly from the sudden acceleration!

After kicking Lady Gath towards the bar, the sub body piloting Norvin had moved so fast ahead of her to behind Ota, it was if he really teleported! He had already grabbed the little imp and ran him back towards the incoming Gath before Ota had realized what was going on!

A magical green and purple shield was lit up by Ota right before the impact happened. As the two smashed together, Norvin disappeared and reappeared beside the fallen bar owner. He then knelt down to assess Makoto.

...

Thirty seconds or so earlier.

Bricks flew apart and dust rose. Edward and Huey both groaned as they landed in the dim, shadowy alley, the remnants of Ota's explosive energy still buzzing around them. Both of them rose to their feet shakily, their Rider armors flickered, casting ethereal light against the grimy walls. Just behind, the bar barely stood, blue light shining ominously, a portal of chaotic energy still forming a doorway in the remaining bricks.

From within the dark recesses, Iver emerged, his sharp features illuminated by the flickering light. His confident stride conveyed a sense of arrogance, and a sly grin blossomed on his lips. He pulled on his cloak and put the tablet he was holding back into it's sub space.

"Well, well," he remarked, his voice dripping with mockery. "Freshly ordained oracles in the flesh. How quaint...whew...you reek. Ota must have burped on you."

Edward's brow furrowed beneath his helmet, a protective instinct igniting within him. "What do you want?" he demanded, stepping forward defiantly in front of Huey.

"I am Iver, servant to Lord Grem," he replied coolly. "And if you're here, it's not by coincidence. Your powers are noteworthy—far too remarkable to simply allow you to leave."

Huey moved to stand beside Edward, fists clenched, eyes blazing with determination. "We're going back inside to help Norvin. You won't stop us!"

"Norvin?" Iver chuckled, shaking his head. "I don't know the man, but I assure you he's in deep waters far beyond your understanding. You are merely pawns in a game playing out in the shadows."

Ignoring the taunt, Edward retorted, "We don't care, okay? We aren't leaving him with that stupid bitch, no matter what you say, you stupid elf-looking goober!"

"Oh, such resolve!" Iver smirked, the amusement evident in his eyes. "But you're woefully unprepared. If you truly think you can thwart me, then let's see how you fair."

With a flick of his wrist, Iver summoned his sword from nothingness. The weapon ignited into existence in a blaze of red energy that shimmered ominously in the darkened alley.

"Let the fun begin," Iver declared, charging forward, sword slashing through the air toward Edward.

Reacting instinctively, Edward raised his giant blade to block the blow, the impact reverberating through him as he staggered back.

Without hesitation, Huey lunged into action, attempting to kick Iver's midsection. But with a swift sidestep, Iver dodged effortlessly, his blade narrowly missing Huey's shoulder.

"You think mere kicks will save you?" Iver taunted, twisting aside with no effort and smacking Huey aside with ease in a manner that infuriated Edward. "You really know nothing of what's at stake!"

Bang!

"Ugh!" Huey was sent flying into the wall of the building across from the bar.

"Enough talk!" Edward shouted, channeling energy into his fist and lunging forward once more. "We're not letting you stop us!"

"Then let's dance!" Iver replied with a sadistic laugh, engaging in a flurry of strikes. Their energies clashed violently, bursts of light illuminating the alley as Edward pushed back with all his might.

While Iver was distracted, Huey, having pulled himself out of the wall, seized his chance, throwing rapid stabs aimed at the oracle. Iver, however, conjured an energy barrier that absorbed the blows with an eerie ease, amusement dancing in his eyes.

"You really underestimate me!" Iver sneered, preparing a fierce counterattack. "This 'Norvin' may have chosen you, but this is where your journey ends...and then he will be next!"

Edward's determination solidified, and he shouted back, "We don't care if you don't know him you dipshit...We're going back inside the bar to help him! You won't keep us from that!"

"Back inside?" Iver retorted, voice darkening. "You think you can just waltz back in and save him? I assure you he's beyond your reach!"

Fueled by desperation and urgency, Edward and Huey pressed forward, uniting their energies in an attempt to deflect Iver's relentless blows. Each strike threatened to push them away from the back entrance, as well as the hole they had created and every moment brought them closer to defeat.

"Stay focused!" Edward encouraged, as they fought back against the tide of attacks. "We need to keep moving!"

"I'm trying dude!" Huey had only been in play fights at cosplay conventions before. His swings were absolutely wild and easily stopped by Iver.

"You will certainly need more than just hope...Is this your first day wielding a blade?" Iver bellowed, unleashing a concentrated wave of energy aimed directly at them from the edge of his sword. "Allow me to show you how it's done whelps...This ends here!...AIR CUTTER!"

'Holy shit...he's throwing out a named attack...'

Huey was almost excited to see an energy attack again for the second time that night, he sure didn't want to get hit by it though.

"Block it Ed!" Both Edward and Huey slashed forward at the same time, their blades connecting with the red wave of energy hurtling towards them.

BOOM!

Both of their swords were knocked back upwards from the force of the blade of energy, but they managed to shatter the wave.

The air crackled with tension, the rear entrance to the bar looming in front of them, a gateway to their friend in peril. "We'll face whatever you throw at us! We're not backing down...and we're totally going to kill that big bitch wearing black in the bar too." Edward yelled, preparing for one final stand.

Adrenaline surging, they plunged into a frantic offensive, channeling the essence of warriors resolved to protect Norvin, regardless of the odds posed by this murderous elf. The clamor of their battle resonated throughout the city. Sirens flashed in the distance, their wails lost. The sound and tremors from the three C Grades unleashing their full might dominated the local soundscape.

...

Norvin's body, still controlled by the sub body, crouched beside the fallen Makoto, extended his hand and murmured, "You did well, old friend."

In the next instant, a golden light shaped like a book materialized, and Norvin's cosmos-colored fingers began to flip through it. They paused at a specific page, stopped turning, and his fingers traced the golden luminescence, inscribing new marks where they had just caressed. Then, the 'book' closed and vanished. As this occurred, Makoto's previously visible injuries disappeared as though they never existed. The man groaned, stirring to life.

Ota and Gath lay on the ground, unconscious and heavily injured from the blow they had received. Ota's staff and Gath's helm disappeared into sparks of green and red light, respectively. Both of their oracle totems had disappeared now that they were knocked out.

Norvin's body stood up and a wave of psychic energy enveloped Gath, Ota and Makoto. He started hovering and floated towards the kitchen. He perceived the presence of the three remaining cooks; after swiftly probing their thoughts, he was assured that Makoto would be secure with them. Although they were shaken by the loss of their two co-workers, they remained composed enough to look after Makoto.

...

The tension in the alley was thick, energy crackling and swords clashing as Edward and Huey squared off against Iver. The surrounding walls and the ground in the alley bore deep slash and stab marks. The walls of the buildings suffered severe damage whenever they were grazed or barely nicked by one of those blades.

Suddenly, the atmosphere shifted, a powerful surge of aura mixing through the air. The music that had been produced out of nowhere earlier inside the bar was now present. A body colored like the night sky exited neatly through the rear door. The heavenly body radiated an ethereal glow, cosmic energy swirling around him like a nebula.

As Iver caught sight of Norvin, a palpable dread washed over him. Shivers raced from his toes up to his long, pointed elfin ears, a visceral fear that completely unseated his confidence. This was the feeling a super of a much higher Grade would give off to a lower ranked lifeform.

"What are you?" Throughout the entire fight, he had remained calm, but now he was panting heavily, his eyes dilating in terror. He already knew that this was a freshly made Curator, but how could it be so powerful already?

Norvin, still controlled by the sub body, floated toward them, his eyes shimmering with an otherworldly brilliance. "Your plans end here, fool." he declared, his voice resonating with an echo that sent chills through the alley.

Gath and Ota, caught in the grip of Norvin's psychic energy, floated helplessly behind him, suspended mid-air as he showcased the full depth of his power. Edward and Huey exchanged bewildered glances, their minds racing. "Is that even Norvin anymore?" Edward whispered, grappling with the change between the being before them and the friend they knew.

"What form or superhero is that?" Edward asked quietly.

"I honestly don't know dude...He kinda looks like a feral 'Photon' from Marvel Comics, the Genis-Vell version...I honestly don't know man...Is that electronic music coming from Norvin?"

Before any of them could react further, Iver's instincts kicked in. Panic surged through him as he turned and dashed toward the nearby portal—a vibrant blue mass stretched across the bricks of the wall that glowed enticingly in the dim alley. "I won't be caught!" he shouted as he lunged into the portal, desperate to escape.

Iver was midway passing through the portals threshold, when a spark ignited within Norvin. With a fierce determination, he stretched out his hand, unleashing a wave of energy that modified the portal's very essence. The vibrant blue shifted and transformed into a brilliant gold as Iver was mid-leap, the warm light pouring forth like liquid sunshine.

The clash of energy made the surroundings wobble and twist, revealing glimpses of a strange, lush green landscape beyond the threshold for a moment.

"Stop him!" Edward shouted, but before they could act, Norvin captured them with a wave of his hand. Psychic energy coursed through him, wrapping around Edward and Huey in a protective embrace, banishing their fears and grounding them in a fierce determination against the unknown before them.

"Where is this?…" Iver hissed, panic now overtaking him completely as he finished passing through the portal, his escape hanging in the balance. Norvin's body followed, feeling the resistance from Iver with a focus that felt exhilarating, like the man was his prey.

As Iver disappeared into the portal, Norvin surged forward, unleashing the strength of his cosmic form. Without hesitation, he propelled himself and his oracles—Huey and Edward—through the shimmering entrance, their surroundings twisting and swirling around them. He also dragged Ota and Gath along, there was no way he was leaving those two back on Norvin's home planet.

Ota had started to wake up at this point.

When they emerged, the scene was entirely different—a vast expanse opened before them, dominated by five enormous archways pulsating with vibrant colors. The golden portal they exited from radiated a warm energy, each portal had its own movements and feel to them.

Before they could gather their thoughts, they witnessed chaos from behind them. Gath glided via Norvin's energy through the golden portal but was suddenly pulled toward a vivid red archway that whirled with malevolent energy. Iver followed closely, panic etched across his features.

The sub body attempted to snare Iver with his energy and gain control of Lady Gath again but the pull of the red gate was too strong.

As the two reached the threshold, the red portal snatched them, whisking them away in an instant. The red energy of the portal shattered the moment they had passed through.

"No!" Huey and Edward both shouted, they were pissed off that Cassie's killer had gotten away.

As his companions disappeared, Ota, watching helplessly, was also swept towards a green portal uncontrollably, he had also been pulled away from the psychic hold Norvin's sub body had on him.

"Oh gods!...Not back her-"

His protest was swallowed by the surging energy as it pulled him into the unknown. This portal didn't close afterwards like the one that Gath and Iver had been pulled through.

Turning back, Edward concretely grasped the gravity of the moment. "What now?" he asked, his deep voice trembling slightly.

Norvin, still aglow with cosmic energy, turned to them. "We become stronger." His voice was off putting as it seemed to come from his wrist, it was both commanding and filled with an unsettling familiarity, the remnants of their friend lingering beneath the surface of this potent transformation.

The music that had been playing this entire time slowly faded away to silence, the entire song hadn't even had time to play out. All you could hear now was the wind rustling thick blades of grass beneath their armored feet.

"What is this place?" Edward asked, awe mixing with uncertainty as they stepped forward to survey their new surroundings.

Edward and Huey, brimming with confusion yet feeling an unshakeable trust in Norvin's presence, nodded at each other. They needed to move forward, to confront whatever lay ahead in this strange, new world—together.

Or so they thought.

Well, we ain't on earth anymore...This more or less ends the first volume of the story. I hope that this has been a good read for you all. It may be a couple weeks to a month before I post again as I am getting my final thoughts together for the next arc. Ive been influence by media intake lately and might adjust a few aspects of the story to include a few new ideas. Let me know what you think so far!
