Chapter 34

It was the next morning, and Micah was feeling very happy. That surprised him based on how happy he was that he still held the Heather Eye.

He got up and looked at the sky, and no one was awake—so the quiet made the morning even more better.

The sun shined on the trees, making the area very bright. Luckily they were under a cave. Micah looked at Peter, who was starting to flinch a bit. 

Suddenly, Peter opened his eyes unexpectedly, and his eyes were red. That explained why Micah shrieked in fear when he saw his eyelids unfold. 

"Micah, what happened?" Peter said, getting up in alarm. Micah chuckled as he finally replayed the scene in his head. "Nothing, nothing happened."

"Then why did you scream?"

"Your eyes were red, so it scared me a bit," he said. "I don't know why."

Peter shrugged. "I don't know either. Anyways, I thought of something last night."
