Chapter 33

Everyone returned to the cave, and it seemed to be quite a dull time.

Peter and Dr. Vicks were actually overjoyed at their sudden progress, whereas Xavier was giving Micah and Vienne a bunch of death stares.

Peter noticed this and was very worried.

What happened?

Did Micah do something to him during the hunt or something? 

Peter wasn't sure, so he took it off his mind. 

"Okay, we need to make plans to get into the Passageway, because if we don't do it soon, Asiris and the other girl—"

"Caville."

"—will be as good as dead. So we need to make plans tomorrow."

"Why not tonight?" Xavier asked. "I'm pretty sure we all feel like letting out a bunch of bullets, am I right?"

No one answered, but secretly they did feel the same way. Nonetheless, Dr. Vicks persisted. "No, we need to clear our heads from today, now everyone needs to go to bed."

Everyone went to bed, lying down and closing their eyes to sleep.
