Chapter 31

Micah and Xavier were hunting, and so far they found one deer, although it seemed to be dying already.

Maybe it was old or something, and has been in the Passageway for ages—and now it just approached death's door.

They were using the Jeep, so luckily they were able to move quickly.

Xavier was driving, and that was obvious since he was the adult out of all of them, plus he helped them escape from the Hemorrians, but they didn't know who they were at first.

Micah was looking out the window, through the woods which now it was oak trees that were here instead of palm trees.

"Hey, you okay?" Xavier asked, catching Micah's attention quickly.

"Yes, I am," Micah stuttered, due to the sudden question that was asked.

"Are you sure?" Xavier asked. This time Micah didn't answer, and he sighed in response. "Are you sad that Peter was able to hold the Heather Eye?" Xavier asked.
