Chapter 12

After the reunion, the boys were welcomed into the castle by the queen.

Asiris met with Commander Just, who was recently there with the king and queen.

Asiris finally woke up from his bed, looking up at the ceiling—sighing.

The boys have finally come.

Weakly, he rose up from his bed—staring at his feet while at it.

He looked down towards the floor, seeing his slippers there.

"Maybe I could use that for my day off," he said, smiling.

So he did, resting his feet in the warm fuzzy fabric that laid down his toes.

He finally climbed to the erect position, stretching his back.

His back finally let loose of the tightness, releasing his back into flexibility.

Walking out the door awaited someone he wasn't ready to see.

"Hey—Just!" he sarcastically shrieked.

The commander wasn't amused by his sudden startle.

"I wish I could come here to meet with you after your search—but the king has better demands."

"Demands?"

"Yes, he's offering you a task. Also—no worries. You can stay in your slippers."

Commander Just promptly left Asiris's confused face.

Quickly, Asiris decided to follow, releasing his forthwith energy to speed up towards Commander Just.

"Why is it such a rush?"

"Do you wish to keep your king long?" Commander Just hastily returned.

"No I do not, sir," he said. "I only wish for the quickness of this matter."

"Well, how about you wait till you meet up with the king?"

Commander Just started to hurry away faster, forcing Asiris to forcefully walk faster.

"Well, how about you tell me now?" he disclosed, stopping the commander in his tracks.

With a sigh, Just looked at him with a pestiferous guise.

"Well, what happened is that the king wants you."

"Oh my—" Asiris complained, rolling his eyes and upthrusting his hands around.

They reached the elevator room, a place where a red carpet was laid from beginning to end.

Just—only to present the elevators. The button was pushed hardly by Just, as Asiris continued to push him to talk.

"Just tell me would ya?!"

"No."

Asiris now raged with his fists, now pugnaciously grumbling.

The elevator hushed the grumbling, now that the door closed shut.

They shared a sense of silence for a long time, slowly as the elevator music filled the area. "Now, do you mind telling me what happened?" he asked.

"I prefer not," Commander Just returned. The music seemed to be too loud even between them.

Finally, the elevator rang and the doors finally opened.

In front of them was a limo, guarded by heathers with white suits.

"Well, how come the limo isn't white?" Asiris asked. Commander Just chuckled, "Not everything has to be white."

They strided towards the limo, which one opened the door.

Asiris sat down, following after Just skeptically.

"Is it a present?"

"Of course not, you know I don't give presents."

"Not anymore," Asiris corrected, rolling his eyes.

The ride to the palace was quiet until they reached the fifteen foot tall gates.

When they came through, a series of roads dispersed throughout the palace.

On the right was a passageway that led them through the dark woods.

The dark woods was a place where the trees died, which was frightening every time they passed through there.

After that, they came across bright gold fences, which marked the arrival to the castle. Asiris opened the door, suddenly feeling different from then.

He gazed down, suddenly seeing him in his war outfit. "Just," he uluated. "What happened to my outfit?"

He found himself staring at his pajamas in the driver's arms. The commander chuckled, "You think you're going to go into the castle with your pajamas? At least be sensible."

He walked past Asiris, who then turned his head in annoyance.

They made their way into the castle, where they encountered the king.

His throne was gold, which he was wearing a white robe with a white staff, slouching as he was thinking.

Eventually, he saw Asiris and Just standing in his presence.

"Your Majesty," they both said, bowing. He chuckled, "Forget about the bowing. Just, you can go now."

Commander Just nodded, and quickly went elsewhere from the palace.

Confused, Asiris looked up at the king and asked, "What do you ask me for your Heatherness?"

"You want to know what I'm asking?" the king said. "Well here is what I ask, Asiris, general of the army."

He waited, gulping nervously for his request. The king took in a big gasp—and then let out.

"I want you to train my son, Micah."
