Chapter 6

The next morning, I decided to watch the news again, and to my surprise, there was good news about Phoebe and Murphy being found. But what's even more surprising is they started talking about the "mysterious killer", and honestly, I'm kind of glad they're finally shaming other criminals other than the usual Micheal Rayburn. But in my mind, I was curious as to who took these photos of the strange figures, seeing that I definitely never pulled out my phone, and snapped a photo of them.

"Everyone, listen to me!" Serena ordered.

I paused the TV, as Alex, Dylan, and Phoebe were looking at Phoebe, confused.

"Until this crime is finished, we are not allowed outside after 6:30 PM," Serena instructed, "In the meantime, Murphy and the whole police force will find out who the culprit is?"

"Also, no one is allowed out of the city without a license," Sam added.

"So we're basically trapped in one big house but it's a city," Dylan laughed.

"Well, how else are we going to protect our citizens," Sam shrugged.

"Sam's got a point," Phoebe admitted.

"We have also spoken to other leaders and officials of Mokland, and we all came up with new regulations," Serena added.

I walked back to the couch, and resumed the news.

I can't just hide in here forever, I have to find out who is the mysterious figure, but at the same time I want to be safe.

I walked up to my room after watching the interesting news story, and as soon as I entered my room, I saw shattered glass with blue liquid spread all around the floor.

"My, my potion, it's..it's gone," I blurted out, feeling devastated.

When I walked closer, I saw a note that read,

You are next!!!

Is this some kind of games these people are

playing?

And how the heck did they even get inside the palace?

I heard footsteps in my direction, so I quickly cleaned up the mess, and hid the note under the bed so that no one suspects anything.

The door opened, and Phoebe was standing there, looking horrified.

"Is it about the palace security problems?" I wondered.

"Yes, but there were also two vocal teachers standing next to each other," Phoebe explained.

"Two vocal teachers…" I pondered.

The vocal teacher must've stolen my potion for something, but why would she do that?

"I had the potion to save you, remember?" I reminded Phoebe.

Phoebe nodded.

"So the vocal teacher would've stolen that potion for something…" I analyzed, "And that something is probably not good."

"I mean she couldn't bail the queen out because she hated the queen," Phoebe supplied.

"What if she was a part of those criminals?" I predicted.

"Pffft…." Phoebe laughed, "I don't think she would even be a criminal since she couldn't even throw a ball correctly."

"You never know about people?" I shook my head, "The people who are closest to you could be the most dangerous person."

"You got a point there," Phoebe sighed, feeling defeated.

"Ok, good night," I closed the door.

The next morning, I woke up extra early to see what the vocal teacher was hiding. I know that she might've stolen it for something bad, but I don't know what bad thing she is going to do.

After I got dressed, I quietly opened the door, and snuck out of my room, looking around to see if anyone was either awake or watching me.

When I was in the other ward, I saw the door open, and I was scared, so I went inside one of the nearest rooms until I was safe to continue. But, I heard a familiar voice, along with some other voices I don't recognize. I let my curiosity get the best of me, as I slowly opened the door, and followed them.

I was very curious to what the mysterious figure looked like, as I only got to see a strand of curly blond hair.

When they entered inside a room, I went under the bush, and overheard what they're planning.
