Chapter 15

Later this morning, I had enough with these criminals breaking into my palace. Don't they know that they do not live here, and this is my palace. Serena literally promised me that these criminals will be gone, but I haven't seen anything happen. I never knew Serena would be that ignorant and lazy to not even care for the house.

I decided to set traps around the perimeters of the house so that I can trap the criminals. I looked around to see which materials would be useful for a trap. I recently learned that strong strings, and durable buckets can make a good trap. If the guards aren't going to protect this palace, then who else will keep the palace protected?

After looking around the storage room for corroded and bent metal, and some durable strings, I gathered all the materials inside my room. After bringing all the materials in my room. I started building the materials, as I was constantly pondering about that night at the office room.

As I was building, I heard footsteps and some chatter. I immediately thought it was one of those intruders since the voice isn't familiar to me. I stopped what I was doing, and hid everything, so they won't know that I'm working on a trap. I rushed downstairs only to see Serena talking with some old man, as the old man was begging for more money. I saw tears in Serena's eyes, as she had to give away her money. The old man had a police uniform, and he had a cap on. I immediately realized that it was the police leader that Sam thought Serena was flirting.

"If you don't bring me more money, then my police will destroy the palace!" The police leader threatened.

Serena stayed silent, as the old man slammed the door on her face. I felt sorry for her after I realized that Serena wasn't having an affair with the police leader. At the same time, I felt angry that this police leader can take all our money without a care, and live happily. Phoebe was right that this man was ignorant and selfish. I really wanted to apologize to Serena, but she would probably not accept my apology, seeing that she is very sad and angry.

After my moment of grief, I immediately headed back to my room, and continued my trap. Now, I'm more focused than ever, with little to no breaks. By nightfall, I had already installed the traps around the perimeters of the palace, and I felt more confident than ever. Everything was loaded with traps and buckets, and I hope that my siblings are sleeping during this time, cause it's about to get wild.

I saw a group of criminals walk towards the front door, so I hid behind the curtain to plan my surprise attack. They're going to pay for what they did to Mokland.

When Queen Mendoza unlocked the door, and stepped inside, baseballs were tumblings down to the ground, as a group of criminals got hit by the balls.

"Watch where you're going losers," I quietly giggled.

As soon as they got up, they started walking to the kitchen, but a surge of flames blasted out from the compartment, burning them. Unfortunately, Queen Mendoza was behind the criminals, so she survived. Queen Mendoza jumped over the criminals, as she was making her way through the kitchen cabinets. Suddenly, she slipped, and fell hard on the floor. I spotted a puddle of water next to Queen Mendoza, as she was trying to get up.

"Ugh, what is this mess," Queen Mendoza complained.

"Someone is clearly wanting us dead," One crimnal predicted.

"Yeah, with the amount of mess in the palace," Queen Mendoza scoffed.

I saw the entire group walk towards the living room, as I was surprised the criminals aren't dead yet. But at the same time, I'm kind of blessed that I put more traps so I can guarantee they can be trapped.

"Ow!" One criminal exclaimed in pain.

I saw a small bucket filled with weights hit the other criminals, as buckets were swinging from the ceiling. All the criminals, including Queen Mendoza, were trying to release the pain from their heads.

"We need to find a way to get through these traps," Queen Mendoza demanded, "Do you know how to get through all these traps?"

"I don't know, maybe look around more carefully," One criminal answered, while massaging his head.
