Chapter 27 Lost the baby

something seem to be off with

Charity, all she want her to do ever

 since was abort the baby, what’s

wrong with her anyways.

“I will go to Patrick tomorrow, and I

 don’t care if that Amanda is there

 or not”.

Getting to Patrick house the

 next day Amanda has gone home.

“Thank goodness, the devil is not

as home”.

Patrick I don’t like the way you

are treating me lately, is it because

of that witch?

“And who you calling a witch?

“Is it not that Amanda girl”.

“Ginaa.. come’ on she is not a

witch ok” he laugh at Gina, “so she

 is jealous, hmm.. now you know

 how I was feeling when you always

choice ken over me” he muttered

 under his breath.

“Am sorry for not hearing you out

the other day, what where you

saying?

“I was saying that ken has gone

missing, and am pregnant for him.

“Oh my God! Gina.. so soon?

“It happen; it just happen, I was

carried away. My father is not

really happy with me, but what

could he do? He was kind of glad

 because it’s ken and that is why

I decide to keep it.

 him?, how did he got missing?

“He boarded a plane going to

 Italy but it crash midair and now

no one knows where he is, neither

did anyone see his body”.

“OMG, am so sorry, have they try

 to look for him?

“Yes they have but no result”. So

can you help me?

“How? Patrick ask Gina

“Look for ken” she said.

“No..no.. I mean where will I go to

look for him?

And why will he always be the one

to help Gina out. No.. am not going anywhere. i have my own girl now so

there is no need pleasing Gina again

 he murmured.

“Please Patrick help me find him,

am going crazy”.

“You just have to calm down ok, I

will look for a way to help but I

can’t go to find him”.

“Ok.. ok.. where do you want to go,

I will follow you Gina said.

“I don’t know yet, I will come up

with something and then I will let

you know about it”.

“What’! She love me?, no she didn’t

mean that, she only said that

 because of ken.

“But Gina.. W-What if ken is

 d-dead?

“Fine, Patrick said looking at

 Gina who by now has lost a lot

of weight.

“You need to take care of yourself

 he said, concerned about her health.

“Yes, when last did you look at

yourself in the mirror?

“Three days or so”.

“I see, you need rest, come let me

 help you out”. He took Gina upstairs,

give her some milk, comb her hair

 and pet her to sleep.

Gina was still sleeping when Amanda

walk in,

“Hey Patrick”.

“Heyy Amanda, you didn’t call?

“Do I have to call first? is ok am

here now”.

“Oh.. yea you’re here , let’s go out,

let’s have a bite outside, there is a

fast food around the Conner, I will

 like us to go there, is beautiful.

Patrick said trying to buy time for

Gina, he really don’t want Amanda

to see Gina in his bedroom. He

definitely don’t have the straight

to argue with her.

“Wow, that will be nice, let be drop

 my bag inside the room.

Oh..No..no..no.. is ok let’s just go

like that, I think I need to buy

something when we are coming

 back, y-you will need your bag to

help me carry it.

“Really! “ok let’s go”, she said

 happily. And they went out to eat.

After eating, Patrick sense that

Gina might still be sleeping so he

took Amanda out of town to have

 some good time with her. She was

 so happy and busy enjoying herself,

without suspecting anything.

Gina woke up, and went downstairs

to look for Patrick, but he was

nowhere to be found.

“Where could he be, I want to go

home, let me call him”. She took

her phone and call Patrick,

“Hello where are you? Am about

 going home”.

“Oh ok, I will see you tomorrow, I

didn’t want to wake you up so I

went out of town, hope you

sleep well.

“Yes thanks a lot i….

 “Bye talk to you later

Patrick hag up the phone when

Amanda starts demanding to know

who was on the phone.

“Is a friend’, can we go home

 now”? Ask Patrick

 “Yes we can, let’s go” she held

 Patrick’s hand, jumping like a little

 girl whom father took out to buy

ice-cream.

He was so relieve that he got out

of the hook, maybe he wouldn’t be

this lucky next time. “But for now

 am good” he thought to himself.

“Why did you leave me alone in

the house? Gina ask Patrick when

 she saw him the next day,

“Am so sorry, I went out with

Amanda, I didn’t want her to see

you in my bedroom.

“But why”?

“What do you mean why, she’s

my woman.

“And who am I to you?.

Patrick laugh at Gina,

“You are my friend and little sister,

we can’t have that kind of

relationship you know”.

“Like you been my woman”,

“But am a woman, and you are my

 friend so am your woman too.

“Ok”, you win, you’re my woman,

happy now?.

“Yes, am happy, she hug Patrick

 but feels something under

 her tight.

“What is this, oh my God, oh

 my God”.

“What is it? Patrick ask, but then

he saw the blood.

“Oh my God, Gina you are

 bleeding”.

“What do I do now? My baby no..

My baby Patrick my baby”.

“Hold on don’t panic, I will take

you to the hospital”.

Patrick rush to get his car key,

carried Gina to the car and zoom

off to the nearest hospital. She

 was admitted immediately and

they call for her father.

“Doctor how is she? Mr. George

ask when he got to the hospital.

“She is fine but she lost the baby”.

Mr. George was so disappointed

about the whole thing, but at least

 Gina is fine and that is what

matters most to him.

“Patrick thank you for been there

 for her.

“Is ok sir, I will like to go home now”.

“Please do, I will take care of her,

thanks again”.

“Is ok, is my pleasure”.

Patrick went home worried about

 the wellbeing of Gina.

 “Why is she going through all

of this?

This Ken is bad luck, now Gina

has to suffer because of him, is

partly her father’s fault, just because

of saving his company he is going

to lose his only daughter.

Damn, how I wish she love me the

 way I love her, I would have taken

her out of this place and given her

everything she ever ask for.

Patrick went home and met Amanda

waiting for him, and she was standing

over looking at the blood stain.

“Patrick what happen here, did

you fight with someone?

“No, is Gina she came here to

 see me, but then she started

bleeding, so I rush her to the

hospital.

“What! Gina again, you and this

Gina I have heard enough of this

Gina, I hope she dies there”.

“What? You serious right now?.

“Yea, am damn serious because

 am tired of this Gina. Gina this,

Gina that, Patrick you love this girl

 just say so, and get the fuck out

of my face” she storm out of

 his house.

“Amanda.., Amanda, please come

 back I love too.

She left before Patrick could come

 out of the house.

“She’s right, I love Gina, God I love

her so much, is killing me”.

He took a mop and mop the floor,

rush to the supermarket to but

provision for Gina then rush back

to the hospital.

“Mr. George you can go home now

I will take care of her”.

“Ok my dear thank you”.

Mr. George walks out of the room

but pause and looked back to see

Patrick wiping Gina’s face with

a towel.

“Gina would have been better off

with Patrick he thought. I regret

 ever using my daughter for a

business transaction. It will never

 happen again, I will let her marry

who ever she wants to marry”.

“Patrick where are we? Gina ask

once she woke up.

“In the hospital, don’t worry you

will be fine, but you lost the baby.

“Sheee… don’t cry am here for you”,

you will be fine Patrick hug her.

“Thank you Patrick, thank you for

been here”.

“Is fine, just rest”.

Mr. George thought of telling

  Mr. Jackson and his wife what

has happen, but then he remembered

 is time to let Gina live her life,

she is old enough to handle

 problems.
