To feel alive 6.2

(I'm alive!) The first thing I could think of... Being alive! Smells, darkness, and pain. I feel everything! My nose twitches because of the putrid smell, the pain all over my body, because of the fire. My eyes hurt even more, and I can`t see anything. My vision is blurred, and I'm in complete darkness.

Anyway, after countless centuries of being just a bodiless soul, even though it`s a mortal body, it is a body that I can call my own. I try to move, but the pain won`t allow it. I try to cry, but my mouth won't open.

(Now my throat is dry. Damn.) I try to move my body again. It becomes even more painful on each try. After a while, all the pain disappeared, and the blur started dissipating. I saw a faint light glowing on my side from the corner of my eye. The light was warm, and I feel dizzy. (I can't... Ah, I'll just sleep for now...)

My first night of sleep... Or day? Whatever the first time I ever slept in my life was truly unpleasant. I woke up abruptly because I felt excruciating pain in my back. (What is it now?) I opened my eyes slowly. This time, I couldn't see a thing because it was too bright, and I was involved in someone's arms.

The pain eased a little. "...Finally. I thought you wouldn't wake up anymore. You know how much mana I had to use to bring you to life?" I hear a female voice that was a little weak. "Ba-ba-ba, da?" The same person from before laughed. "You have just a day of life and you even try to talk... Really, who are you?"

I was a little irritated, so I struggled to break free from her hug. "Da-da... ma, aga!" I feel a hand with delicate fingers caressing my hair. "I won't do anything to you little one... Well, I might do it in the future, but I can't kill a baby. Not in times of peace, at least... But you don't understand what I'm saying anyway, or do you?"

My eyes finally adjusted to the light. I saw a big face staring at me. She had blue eyes, blue hair, and pale white skin. (She is really pale. Is she alright? Well, I do understand her, but is it normal for babies to understand language this fast? Hm... Whatever.) I nod and stare back at her.

"You do understand..." She blinks twice and stares at me. "What a beautiful pair of eyes you have. Purple like an amethyst, with little stars..." (Am I in danger?) We keep staring at each other for a while. (I need to talk to her, or at least try... But how?)
