The Dragon

"𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦, 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯? 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦? 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘳? 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴?"

"LOOK AT ME GO NOVIS, HAHA I TOLD YOU IT WOULDN'T BE HARD"

The fool became eccentric, after rising to the clouds and delivering a massive blow to the Dragon, he felt a strong sense of life and purity start to rise within him.

"𝘐 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘧𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘯"

He tries to regain his flight but to no avail. The fool strikes him down with all his might pummeling him straight into the ground.

Novis seems incredibly impressed and excited that he even tries to cheer on the fool from afar and although he may not pay that much attention to him, the fool still appreciates it.

"Is this all it takes to beat a Dragon? I thought you were beasts of calamity or whatever."

He swiftly gets back on his feet and rises to the skies flying away

"𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦, 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘣𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘻𝘺 𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘦."

The fool attaches himself to the Dragon's back with his ice glove right before he lifts off

"Did you really think I'd let my prey leave just like that?"

An immense amount of fear and terror looms over the Dragon, a beast that always hunts and kills for once being the one hunted, its brain cannot register it nor comprehend it.

He creates his sword Solstice and drives it right into the Dragon

"HOW DARE YOU, ARE YOU TRULY THE LIGHT BEARER? I THOUGHT IT WAS A MYTH."

"Light bearer? Do you know me? Speak now or I shall end your life this minute"

"PLEASE DON'T I BEG"

"Then start speaking. Now"

"MY PARENTS TOLD ME A LONG TIME AGO THAT THERE WAS ONE MAN WHO COULD DEFEAT HUNDREDS, EVEN THOUSANDS OF DRAGONS ON HIS OWN, HE WAS A MAGE WHO USED THE POWER OF LIGHT ITSELF AND THAT MAN WOULD NEVER SHOW MERCY TO ANY DRAGON."

"Is that truly all?"

"YES, I PROMISE."

"To think you didn't even know of my Kingdom how uninteresting"

The fool looks at the Dragon as a disappointment, his dreadful glare full of failed expectations is so high even the Dragon feel's it upon his back

"PLEASE DON'T KI-"

He starts outputting his Thunder magic into the blade stopping its heart instantly with the amount of Electricity coursing through its body to the point it immediately crashes to the ground creating a massive cloud of dust.

"𝘛𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘤𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘋𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘩 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭, 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨."

Novis runs toward the fool to make sure he's alright but finds him on top of the Dragon. A sight that was never seen before in his eyes.

"Wow. To think I'd see the day of a man so great and powerful beat a Dragon right in front of me. You sure are fit for a King."

"Fit for one? I am one."

"You are? Then why are you applying to King's institute then?"

"Oh, it's a long story Novis." He jumps down and pats him on his head as he says it

"No need to treat me like this you know?"

"If you didn't like it so much you would've complained about it more."

Novis becomes very flustered and switches the conversation quickly

"Anyways, how are you going to carry the Dragon back?"

He grabs his sword again and slices its head clean off

"We're going to carry its head. And by we I mean you"

"Me? How would I even do that?"

"Can't you just make a bubble of Water around the head?"

"Well, my magic is versatile and all, but I'm not that good at controlling it, nor do I think I can carry something that heavy."

"Would you mind trying for me?"

"I suppose I could try."

Novis creates a dense and strong bubble of water around the head of the Dragon, slowly lifting it but looking very stressed and preoccupied

"𝘏𝘦 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘢 𝘋𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘰, 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘸𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘶𝘵, 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘐'𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨, 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘢𝘮 𝘐 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘳𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘐'𝘮 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘰... 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳."

The bubble slowly becomes more and more unstable along with Novis's emotions.

That is until the fool places his hand on his shoulder.

"You're doing quite well you know that? I was actually joking about you carrying it but you're doing a great job. Thanks, Friend."

Slowly a fire within Novis's soul builds up, rising and rising, wanting for more and more, becoming greedier by the minute

"𝘐 𝘊𝘈𝘕 𝘋𝘖 𝘛𝘏𝘐𝘚, 𝘐 𝘞𝘐𝘓𝘓 𝘋𝘖 𝘛𝘏𝘐𝘚, 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘗𝘙𝘖𝘝𝘌 𝘛𝘏𝘌𝘔 𝘈𝘓𝘓 𝘞𝘙𝘖𝘕𝘎 𝘐𝘕 𝘍𝘈𝘊𝘛, 𝘐'𝘓𝘓 𝘚𝘛𝘈𝘙𝘛 𝘏𝘌𝘙𝘌, 𝘞𝘐𝘛𝘏 𝘛𝘏𝘐𝘚 𝘍𝘙𝘐𝘌𝘕𝘋𝘚𝘏𝘐𝘗 𝘐 𝘞𝘐𝘓𝘓 𝘎𝘙𝘖𝘞 𝘈𝘕𝘋 𝘐 𝘞𝘐𝘓𝘓 𝘉𝘌𝘊𝘖𝘔𝘌 𝘈 𝘔𝘈𝘕 𝘞𝘖𝘙𝘛𝘏𝘠 𝘖𝘍 𝘔𝘠 𝘕𝘈𝘔𝘌 𝘍𝘖𝘙 𝘐 𝘈𝘔 𝘕𝘖𝘝𝘐𝘚 𝘈𝘊𝘘𝘜𝘈𝘙𝘖𝘕𝘌"

Eventually, he gains control completely of the orb of Water

"SEE LUCE, I DID IT."

"Good job Novis," He says as he pats him on the back.

"Now let us go back to the Kingdom and show that woman what we're capable of."

The two of them ventured back with the orb slowly gaining a red taint from the blood. They laughed and joked around having fun on the way back.

"𝘓𝘶𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘦, 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘫𝘰𝘬𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘢 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘐 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭."

Upon arriving at the gate the guards questioned the flying orb of Water since what was in it is obscured

"Is that thing safe? Sorry traveler but we have to ask this before you enter."

"That's no problem, It's a relief to know that there is security within this Kingdom. It's simple really, I have to return this Dragon head to the school to pass my entrance exam."

"Are you trying to say that... There's a Dragons head? Inside that bubble?"

"Would you want to see?"

"I believe you that's for sure but it's just. Wow, I mean go on ahead you're free to enter."

"Thank you, good sir."

The two roam the city a little just seeing if anything piques their interest, Novis gets interested in some clothes for the fool and asks him to try them on but he kindly declines the offer leaving Novis a little annoyed but nothing terrible.

"Sorry Novis, these clothes are too important to me and I only want to wear them, maybe someday you can convince me."

"It's alright Luce I understand, and if I can convince you later even better. Would you want to get something to eat before we meet Miss Roccia?"

"After that fight, I am quite hungry. Sure let's go get one of those amazing steaks, I did win the bet after all."

The minute the cook can even perceive the fool is arriving, he prepares the best table possible with the best steak he has not only for him but for Novis as well.

"I AM VERY SORRY LOYAL CUSTOMER, PLEASE COME BACK AGAIN SOON"

"Hey relax, I'll come back. Sorry if I hit you too hard."

"NONO EVERYTHING IS FINE, BIG PETE KNOWS WHEN HE IS WEAKER, WHAT IS THE SECRET TO YOUR STRENGTH?"

"Lift a thousand boulders every day."

"ALRIGHT ILL KEEP THAT IN MIND ENJOY YOUR STEAK"

"Well, that was unexpected. So Novis how's your steak? You haven't cut it yet."

"It's a little bit hard to cut but I'll get there."

"Oh don't worry I'll cut it for you." The fool neatly cuts the steak into small bite-sized pieces in case Novis does choke on his food.

"Well, thank you."

"𝘏𝘦'𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴, 𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘰𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴 𝘮𝘦. 𝘏𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘴𝘰 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭"

The two of them ate their food and thanked the chef for his amazing work, afterward they went straight to the school since it was nearly nighttime and the only place they could sleep is there.

They rushed toward the lab since they were quite tired but surprisingly enough some other students were still awake hoarding the hallway.

"Well well well, if it isn't the water boy"

"What do you have there in that little orb? probably something useless."

quietly he responds "Could you stop bullying me for once."

"What did you say? I couldn't hear you down there, maybe you should try getting taller first then get stronger, and what's that disgusting filth you brought in here anyways."

"Alright Novis I can't be bothered to deal with this right now"

The fool puts his hand over Novis's eyes and snaps his fingers creating a miniature flashbang stunning and burning the eyes of whoever sees it. He then quickly grabs his hand and has them run to the lab.

"We're here Miss Roccia, finally here." He says out of breath

"There's no way you two actually managed to kill that beast. Where's the proof."

"Novis, show her."

Almost imitating the fool Novis also snaps his fingers and has the bubble disappear the second he does."

Miss Roccia is in complete shock, never once has she heard of a mage beat a Dragon nor one so quickly.

"Can you just allow me in the School and we sort this out later?"

"Sure I mean at this point, just do whatever you want but leave me with the head. I have so many things I need to test out, its durability the strength of the scales its inner magic. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU BUT LEAVE ME ALONE NOW."

"She sure is something isn't she Novis."

"You could not be more correct Luce."

The two of them go straight toward Novis's dorm

"So there's only one bed?"

"I can sleep on the floor if you like?"

"Nono It's fine, we can share."

"Well, if you say so."

The two of them slept together so quickly that it was almost abnormal how comfortable they'd gotten already.
