Chapter 3

It's only been a week and Hawks is back to the hospital, meeting up with Amami again. He has to be careful being around her and not lose his composure just because she made unpredictable moves like the first time they met.

The reason he is back to the hospital is because of the president of HPSC, the president seems not giving up and wanted her to come to work for them like Hawks. He actually doesn't like the idea that the president was forcing her still to join but as always...he always get a "no" for an answer from Amami.

"Hello, Amami-chan" he greeted with a smile as he opens the door of her room.

"Oh, hello Hawks-san. She's still not giving up?"

"Nope, she keeps insisting me to get you to work for them"

"*sigh* She sure is persistent, I can't believe she won't even think about my feelings...she's just like that woman"

"That woman you're talking about...is the person who runs the HPSC on the location you live in?"

"Yeah, I can't believe she made me do all the dirty work. I can't believe I dirtied my own hands at a young age. This hands of mine killed many villains even though they are innocent...you haven't done something like that Hawks-san, right?" Hawks didn't respond at all and kept quiet.

Amami realized she said too much and apologized. "Ah, sorry. I said too much..."

"No, it's okay..." he responded, it became awkward.

"Why so quiet so suddenly? Where is the talkative and laid back Hawks?" Amami decided to change the topic.

"Amami-chan, you sure started to talk more little by little"

"Oh, you noticed. Well, I could say I made a friend while you're gone"

"Who?"

"It's Endeavour-san's wife"

"Heh, I guess I'm luckier. I get to meet Endeavour in person in my free time" Hawks scoff with a proud smile on his face.

"What?! You see Endeavour-san!" Amami's facial expression changed, making Hawks taken back by the change of her expression. It took him by surprise since she always keeps either a straight face or a face that is making fun of him.

Then started to talk proudly how he talks with Endeavour and other stuff, being able to hang out close to the now number one hero.

"I'm so jealous~," Amami said, then she held Hawk's hand with both of her hands as she looks him in the eyes. "Please, take me with you in your free time. I would like to see Endeavour-san in person, it always been my dream!"

Hawks stares at Amami for a moment, her warm hands touching his and the sparkle in her eyes from just talking about Endeavour. It made him go in thoughts for a while as she stares at her.

-Cute- he thought as a smile accidentally escapes his lips which he immediately shakes off his thoughts.

"Well, I'm not sure if you're allowed to go out of the hospital yet. Does your uncle allow you?" Hawks asked.

"I talked to him about that, he said that I can go out as long someone is looking after me" Amami response.

"That's good...since I'm free right now, why not go to his agency?"

"Really?" Amami smiles even more.

Hawks felt something that he never felt before, it was new to him. For some reason, he wanted to protect that smile.

"I'm going to get change" Amami started going through her bag to get something to change.

"Okay, I'll go to your uncle and tell him that we're going out to Endeavour's agency"

The two of them flew together to Endeavour's agency. They get so many stares from people they passed but Amami gets more attention, captive by her beauty. But it seems they didn't recognise her since it's been 10 years since the incident happened.

They arrived in front of Endeavour's agency. Before they get inside the building, they were suddenly got swarm by Hawk's female fans.

"Hawks, who is she?"

"What's your relationship with her?"

Hawks was flooded with questions from his female fans, Amami got pushed away from the side and just watch Hawks talking to his female fans. Then she got approached by a few men who started talking to her, Hawks noticed and didn't take his eyes off her.

Amami, of course, started talking to them and giving them a smile. Hawks watch as she saw her feeling uncomfortable by her situation now that the men started increasing around her, Amami was actually not really good when people crowded her this is why she hated getting exposed in the media and wanted to keep herself hidden.

"Excuse me ladies, but I'm here with someone right now" he kindly said and wave to his female fans. He then walks his way to Amami and excuses himself from the crowd of men, then grabbed her by her waist and pull her closer to him.

"Excuse me, but this lady is with me" Hawks smirks, the crowd of men that was crowding Amami was backing away, apologizing and left. He then glances at her to see her reaction but to get a stare as a response from her. "What?"

"What happened to your female fans? Why did you leave them?" Amami asked.

"Well, it seems you having a hard time dealing with those men surrounding you and thought that you needed help"

There was a pause silent between then and Amami started taking his hand off her waist.

"Thank you and please don't touch me so casually"

"Hmm~ what's this? Don't tell me, you haven't had a boyfriend before?" Hawks started to tease her, challenging her again to get a different reaction from her this time. Amami avoided his eyes and there was a tint of blush showing her cheeks.

"So what if I didn't?" Hawks smirk that he finally made her lose her composure for once. Amami noticed the smirk on his face and turn her body to the entrance of Endeavour's agency, walking ahead.

"Anyway, stop wasting time"

-That was a cute reaction- Hawks thought.

They got to Endeavour's office, Amami looks around the number one hero's office. Endeavour went and had a talk with Hawks who is irritated that Hawks is interrupting his work again.

"And why did you brought someone with you?" Endeavour asked.

"That's Amami-chan, the girl that I was talking about," Hawks said, Endeavour's expression changed.

"Seriously, bringing her here right now?"

"Come on, she told me she was a fan of yours. It was her dream to meet you one day and I'm making it come true right now, won't you let a kid's dream come true?" Endeavour stares at Hawks and then let out a sigh.

"Fine" he walks his way to Amami and started talking to her.

Hawks watches them as he saw the smile on Amami's face were back again as she talks to Endeavour.

After 2 hours passed, Amami got a call from her uncle that she needed to go back to the hospital. She says her goodbye to the number one hero and they flew back their way to the hospital.

"I guess I'll be going now"

"Wait, before you leave. I have something for you" Amami runs her way to Hawks, grabs the collar of his jacket and pull him closer then kiss his cheeks. She looks at him with a cheeky smile.

"Thank you, I have so much fun"

Hawks get back on his senses from his frozen state of surprise she got from Amami again, then again, he really loved that smile of hers.

"It's nothing, I'm glad that you get to make your wish come true" Hawks responds.

"Anyway, see you again" he waves goodbye and leaves her room.

He went to HPSC and report to the president, as always, he would say the same thing to the president. Hawks was actually curious to why they wanted her so bad to work for the government again.

"Anyway, why do you want her to go work for you?" Hawks finally asked.

"That girl is very powerful since she was a kid, her quirk is very different from anyone. She has multiple quirks, she's the only one that has that kind of quirk from her family but it seems she wasn't strong enough back then yet. We would like the check on her quirk and see how much it progress over the past years"

"President, are you saying you just wanted to experiment on her quirk?" Hawks comment.

"Yes, exactly"

"Do you think that's cruel? She's still coping the death of her family and been through a lot in the past with this organisation at her hometown, then you want to do it again?"

"Hawks, I order you to make her work for this organisation and you fail. But getting involved with her life is none of your business, now leave. We'll be taking this in our own hands instead since you can't even do it right"

A security guard walks in front of Hawks and then started pushing him out of the president's office and shut the door on him. He sighs as he scratches his head, he can't help it but he has to keep an eye on Amami.

He gets himself out of the building and flies to the hospital as fast as he can.

=Amami's P.O.V=

I guess she's going to take this in her own hands, I've been rejecting working for the government since I hated it and it's pain in the ass. I feel like she's going to take things in her own hands because I keep refusing.

"Amami, are you okay?" I take my attention off from the window and look at my uncle.

"Yes," I answered.

"If you needed something just go ahead and tell the nurse," he said and left the room. I get down of the bed and walk my way to the window as I look at the bright moon.

"What is the guardian angel thinking?" I heard a familiar voice. I look from left to right and found no one, then down but no one was there.

"Look up," the voice said. I look up and then met with a beautiful pair of golden eyes.

"Oh, you're back again," I said with a blank expression.

"Well, I have something urgent to tell you" he lowers himself and gets inside the window. He then sits down on the chair, making himself feel at home. "She's taking it in her own hands now, what are you going to do?"

"Oh, what's this? Is the number two hero worried about me?" I smirk as I cross my arms. "Don't worry, it's not like they could catch me that easily" I sit back down on my bed.

-Damn it, why is my heart suddenly pumping so fast? Is it because our eyes met and our faces were centimetres away from each other?-

"Anyway, thank you for telling me," I said, trying to get out of my thoughts.

"No problem, if you needed any help just call me," he said as jumps out of the window and open his wings, I then look at him; confused. He looks me in the eyes, smirks then wink at me before flying off.

"Call him?" I questioned.

-How could I call him when I don't even own a phone?-

I turn my head to the chair he sat down and saw something, I get down off the bed again and walk my way there to see a phone lying on the chair. I took it and then a piece of paper that is folded fell on the floor, I went and it picks it up then read what's written.

{I noticed that you don't have any phone and been staying in the hospital for years at a young age, I decided to buy you one. Don't worry about paying me back, just think of it as a gift from me. Also, I already put my number there and I also had your number, don't hesitate to call or text me;) } -Hawks

I then press the power button of the phone and shows a lock screen of Hawks, there it goes again...my heart started to beat.
