Cain and Rellin soon stood before the High Council of the Trinity Kingdom. The atmosphere was heavy and gloomy, making it clear that things had not been easy the last few days.
The twelve council members eyed the duo with sharp and cold gazes, all of them looking from above. They had heard the report of Captain Asidius and knew the old Duke and young Sky Lord might have knowledge about the sudden disappearance of nobles. However, their skepticism kept them cautious and alert, with some full of curiosity, while others seemed to want the duo to leave as soon as possible.
Cain's gaze swept across the room, noting the differences in the council members' behaviors, making sure the Eye of Gluttony would catch even the slightest microexpression.
