Cain heard the cataclysmic explosion behind him but did not allow it to distract him. He kept pushing forward, the earth sundering beneath his feet as he continued to tackle Archangel Michael farther and farther away from the battlefield. Under their immense power, the ground cracked and splintered, rocks and debris flying in all directions.
A war was about to start, and the first minutes would be decisive. There was nothing worse for an army than to lose its commander during those crucial moments, which was why Cain used everything he had to push the Archangel away from his forces.
