A Good Night's Sleep

Once his work was finished, he began to return home. He decided to put Eden in his cart, The interior of the cart was very luxurious. The sofa was beige and big enough for a person to lie on it, and the space between the sofas was also very large, leaving the possibility of lengthening the legs. This cart was even more comfortable than the cars found on Earth and was also faster than the latter because it runs on manas, not gasoline or other energies found on Earth.

During the trip, Aether couldn't help but stare at Eden. A man of such beauty was impossible to find on Hydrel, and even if Aether wasn't physically or emotionally attracted to men, he couldn't help but think otherwise when he saw the vampire sleeping peacefully in front of him.

However, in order not to succumb to the temptation to jump on him, he decided to work to forget the view that was in front of him. But even though he was trying to work to forget about Eden, he couldn't help but think about him.

And every time he thought about it, his imagination let off steam, which each time resulted from extreme blushing.

Seeing that there was nothing he could do, he also decided to take a nap. There was still 2 hours of travel so if he could not sleep, he would have to change cart, which would make him extremely uncomfortable in front of his subordinates, and especially in front of his friend Kraal.

As he closed his eyes, Aether's mind began to drift. Even though the task was quite simple, it still made him very tired of being on his guard for so long. So he had managed to sleep in a few minutes, which was an exploit with a distraction as great as Eden who still slept in front of him.

Once they arrive at the palace, Aether decided to send his servants and maids to Eden to put him in a guest room. He couldn't afford to take him himself. However, he also specified that if a person dared to touch even one of his hairs, that person would be executed on the spot, which slowed down all those who had laid their lustful eyes on the sleeping vampire. He was certainly attractive, but their lives were much more important than anything else in the world, and then they will always be able to take care of themselves in the evening.

The room Eden was taken to was far too big to be considered a guest room, at least, for those who had common sense. The latter was so large that there was a huge king-size bed in the corner of the room, sofas and a table that served as a mini living room, as well as a dressing room strangely with far too many clothes inside.

Once washed, changed, and put to bed, Eden had the best night he had experienced in his last two lives. Even though his current life was very, very, very short, he still felt that he was sleeping like a baby.

So he slept throughout the night, as well as half of the next day. He had pushed his body so far that he had to regain all the strength it had lost by all possible means, and the only way that was currently possible was only through a very long nap.

He was so exhausted that he could not even hear the comings and goings of the servants, the doctors, as well as the prince who was waiting for his awakening with firm feet.

So Eden woke up exactly at 3:17 p.m. However, when he woke up, he did not expect to see himself in a bed. This bed was covered by what seemed thin veils of fabric, which prevented people from seeing inside.

Eden was rather expecting a dungeon, where he still had to try to escape like last night. And yet, here he was in a room, at the home of a total stranger on top of that.

When he straightened up, he tried to remember the events of the previous day. He remembered that he was chatting with a prince named Aether before he fell into his arms.

Remembering this, he couldn't help but sigh at his situation. He had the impression that he was chaining bad luck after bad luck. Although some people might think that being with a prince would be a blessing, Eden couldn't help but think otherwise. He had read far too many situations where royalty used someone, before that same person was killed by royalty itself because he or she was no longer useful, or because he had become a danger to that royalty.

Even if the person had sacrificed himself/herself for the good of the Empire, sacrificed his friends, family, and sometimes even entire civilizations just so that he could be killed in the end because of some ungrateful royalty.

He knew these scenarios all too well, and he didn't want to become the nice doggie who would die at the end of the story. And the only way for this was for him to flee by all the means he currently possessed, that is, with polymorphose.

Once his mind was totally clear, he stood up and walked to the window. From the moment he opened it, a huge gust of wind entered the room before calming down.

He then began to go out into the balcony of the window, just before the latter was interrupted by a voice he had heard all too much the day before.

"I see we've finally woken up. You took time anyway, we don't have all day, prepare to-... Aether said in a calm voice even though he seemed irritated before he stopped when he saw Eden stepping over the balcony guard.

Some chapters are quite short, but it will come to normal in some time don't worry ;)
