Two Letters

Phil and Olivia walked out of the NYPD Times Square Precinct and headed to the nearest pizza place. After placing their order, they waited inside the restaurant. Olivia looked at her partner-cum-father figure and asked in concern, "Phil, are you alright?"

Ever since that night a week back, when Morpheus had displayed those mysterious supernatural abilities and saved them from the Rosetti gangsters, Phil had been in a daze most of the time. He looked worried.

After all, why wouldn't he be? Something that he'd only thought to be a hoax had turned out to be true. His entire worldview had flipped upside down and he'd inadvertently found himself in the supernatural world.

Phil wondered if everyone in that shadowy world was as powerful as Morpheus, then what would mere humans like him and Olivia be able to do? Would they even be able to survive?
