Music Class._

      "Leave me alone, Kanye. "Areum grumbled. Ever since she entered music class, he's been pestering her.

     Kanye rolled his eyes," Whatever. Anyways, I didn't see your crush today. Didn't he come? "

      "How would I know?" Areum rolled her eyes, trying to be nonchalant. But she was actually worried. 'Is he okay? You're not supposed to worry, Areum! No, he's still my friend. '

      Kanye pursed his red lips, "You should have hit on me, beautiful. I wouldn't have rejected you." He said jokingly.

Areum ignored him. He patted her head, "It's okay. Rejection helps you move on, darling."

     Areum placed her head on her table, "I don't see myself moving on anytime soon."

      Kanye chuckled and that was when Mr Blooms, the teacher, entered the class. They all sat properly.

   "Good morning class."

"Good morning. "

    " I hope you are all preparing for your auditions. It's by Thursday."

" Yes sir! "

     " Good. Let's start today's class. Can someone come out and summarise what we discussed last class. Freddie... "

  Luella settled on the bed, beside Arizona, who had an expressionless face.

    " Why didn't you come to school, Arizona? "Luella asked worriedly.

  " I was feeling blue. "Arizona replied. Luella patted his hair," You good now? "

     " Yeah. "

Silence settled between them. Luella was secretly admiring him. How could she not like him? He's just unique and so lovable.

    " Ella? Can I ask you something? "Arizona began.

  She nodded affirmatively.

     " Thanks. Ok, So imagine you are a guy, and a girl loves you. She even told you. But you think you don't her love her like that, but still, you feel like you do. In some way, because... "He trailed off.

  " What you feel around her is just...undescribable. Yet, you are so sure you don't have feelings for her. And then you're confused. What would you do? "

       Noone needs to tell Luella he's talking about Areum and himself. Anger flashed across her brown eyes.

      " Oh.. I see. Well, if i was the guy, i'd leave her. "She said.

Actually not expecting that, Arizona frowned," Really? "

     " Yea. I can't be with a person who confuses my heart. I'll keep on saying to myself, 'i don't love her more than a friend, and I'll never do'. It'll clear my heart off her and I'll be fine. "

     Arizona nodded," I see. "

  " Yeah. Now, let's put it to test. "She beamed," Arizona, do you like Areum?"

   "No. I don't love her anymore than a friend. And I'll never do." Arizona said and for the first time in his life, he felt like he was spewing rubbish.

   "Oh really, you don't?" Luella asked, absolutely loving this.

   "Yeah. I like her only as a friend. She can go on liking me, for all i care, I'll never like her.. " He cringed at his own words. He felt stupid. He's speaking what his heart isn't.

   Luella grinned, "See? It's good."

Arizona shook his head, roughing up his silky black hair, "I  don't know, Ella. I felt like I'm just speaking shit. That's not what my heart says and I know it. Thanks for your help, but I'll figure this out on my own."

     Luella's pretty face darkened and she grumbled in annoyance.

Arizona smiled at her but she looked away, "I'm leaving."

     "So soon?" He asked. She stood up, "Yes. I have to get something for my sister."

"Thanks for checking up on me."Arizona smiled and hugged her briefly.

She smiled, "Hmmm. You're my best friend. And I love you." Luella said.

   Arizona smiled at her.

     Areum was trying to catch her breath because she'd ran all the way down the stairs, out of the house, into her car.

    She couldn't believe he'd said that! How can he be so... She felt water well up in her eyes, blurring her vision as she rested her head on the steering wheel.

    The tears dropped out of her eyes, feeling like something was digging a hole in her stomach. So fuvking painful.

  Yeah. She heard it all.

_"Arizona, do you like Areum? "

"No. I don't love her and I'll never do. "

" Oh really? "

" Yes. I like her only as a friend. She can go on loving me for all I care. I don't and I'll never love her ".__

  There, she felt she's heard enough because if she stays a minute longer, she'll just scream and start crying,so she ran out.

She had the intention of coming over to visit him since he was absent today and she cared. She only came to say 'hi, are you okay? 'though, not to confess her love or anything like that. Rose had opened the door for her and was quite surprised when she saw Areum rushing out.

      Now, she cried. No. This is too much to bear. Why do I have to fall for him, why?

Areum slumped weakly on her bed, kicking off her sandals. "Fine. I'll stay away from him. He doesn't care right? He doesn't have to. With all he'd said, if i still show him i care, he'll think I'm forcing myself on him."  She sniffed,

   "Never. Staying away is better. My life was good without him anyways." But it's been better with him... She shook her head, hugging her soft heart-shaped pillow and sulking,

    "Why did i have to have feelings for him? He's such a jerk! I hate him!" She whimpered pitifully, her tiny tears damping the pillow.

     _Tuesday_

      "You look like you got hit by a

truck."Kanye said to Areum. He's noticed she looked unusually dull and her eyes were kind of red.

" Yeah. By a truck of heartbreak."She grumbled and he pouted before patting her head, "It's okay, honey."

  Areum sighed, placing her head on her table. 'it is not okay. I am not okay.'

    "He's not in school?" Kanye asked leisurely, glancing around.

   "Why should I care? Not like he wants me to anyways." She scoffed.

    Kanye frowned at that, "Meaning?"

Areum looked up at him, her green eyes crisp, "He doesn't want me to care for him! He doesn't want me to be in his life, and i just realized it's better that way anyways. I was stupid to like him." She muttered the last part before resuming her previous position.

    A strange look passed through Kanye's grey eyes. That doesn't seem right. "Oh. I see. Did he tell you that?"   

    "oh he didn't have to. He was just informing his bff." Areum spat with so much scorn and sadness.

   Kanye sighed and caressed her hair comfortingly, "It's okay, love. I'm always here for you. Just so you know."

She looked up at him, "Yeah?"

He chuckled a bit before using his thumb to wipe the tear stain on her cheeks," Yeah. "

  And almost immediately, the class erupted in giggles and fawns," Awwwwww"

   Areum just shook her head before eyeing them all.

    "Aren't they so cute? "someone commented and they all agreed, though some were protesting playfully.

   Serafina scoffed to herself, her minions doing the same," What's so special about her anyways? " She asked in scorn.

  " Maybe it's because she's prettier than you are. "One said jokingly,but it got on Sera's bad side.

Her eyes turned sharp," What!? " She screamed at the girl, gaining everyone's attention.

  The noise in the class died down as they all prepared to watch the Almighty Serafina Lopez bully her 'friend'.
