Rebirth

Pools of hazel brown, with specks of red floating within, reflected the purple light of the floating droplet. A few moments ago, while watching the ritual circle's absorption, Faye felt an enormous presence descending upon her, and a quick search led her to discover this drop of purple blood. How did she know it was blood? She didn't. It was just an instinctual feeling, after committing a massacre, it seemed her senses had become attuned to the presence of blood. The power that the blood droplet radiated spanned miles, the sheer magnitude of its power caused the surrounding space to bow down, Faye's instincts were currently screaming at her to do the same.

She didn't hesitate to do so. The blood-drenched girl had quickly worked out that this droplet had come from her Lord, it was quite likely that this was his blood. Seeing the power that a single drop of his blood carried, the faith streaming out of Faye began to gush out wildly; the realisation that such a powerful being could love a lowly being such as herself caused her love towards him to soar.

Whilst the girl was trembling in happiness, the droplet of blood began to descend towards her. Stimulated by the descent of the droplet, the ritual circle began to extend into the untouched centre where Faye stood; two straight red lines moved towards the girl's feet from opposite ends. Upon touching the soles of her feet, the girl was awoken from her inner revelry by a sensation that assailed the bottom of her feet. It was strange. Uncanny.

The sensation began to spread through her entire body, Faye struggled to put a finger on what this strange feeling was. Then it clicked. It was a connection. She had been connected with the ritual circle. This wasn't a spiritual connection. It was an actual physical connection. The markings that streaked the earth had become a part of her body. No. That wasn't right. She had become a part of its body. Faye could feel her control over her body gradually weakening as time passed but rather than resisting, she decided to fully relinquish her authority over her own body. The being above owned her, and he could do what he pleased to her, this is what Faye meant by giving her everything to her Lord.

Once the ritual circle had fully gained control over the girl's body, it began draining her blood with great haste, black streaks stained the red of the ritual circle slowly darkening it. The more black the markings on the ground grew, the more withered Faye's vessel became, until there was no blood left to drain; leaving a ritual circle of ominous black and a shrivelled bag of bones. From the lungs to the heart, the organs that were important for Faye to live had long been destroyed, yet she still breathed. Faye's body was part of the ritual circle meaning as long as the circle lived so would she.

Of course, the girl felt massive discomfort from her current condition, the simple action of breathing felt so alien to her but her attention was quickly drawn towards the drop of blood. Hovering a few inches above a section of the markings, the droplet of purple blood seemed to waiting for the girl to adjust herself, as a sound state of mind would be needed to endure what was to come. Due to how focused she was on the blood drop, Faye was unaware of the fact that her body had now fully merged with the ritual circle, at this point, it could be said that the girl had finally renounced her humanity. The ritual circle was an amalgamation of the spirits of those who had been slaughtered by Faye, forming a being known as the Abyssal Pact; its only purpose was to fuse with those whom a Devil had chosen.

With a successful fusion, the new being is known as a Pre-Apostle, as the name suggests, at this stage the being is one step away from being reborn as a Devil Apostle. And that was what Faye had become. The black that coloured the markings was drowned in purple as soon as the blood drop collided with the ritual circle, looking at the scene, one would think that the purple blood was overpowering Faye's black blood, but taking a look at things at a microscopic level would show that every cell contained with the blood was being infused with purple energy. This infusion of power resulted in a colour change as well as an increase in the level of existence. Faye's withered body began to regress to its original state as the infused blood began to flow into her; blood vessels, tissue and organs were being recreated.

Suddenly, the girl's chest exploded as flesh and bone shrapnel were flung everywhere, dirtying the purple markings on the ground. This first explosion set off a chain of them, as various parts of the girl's physique burst into pieces; her body's level of existence was not high enough to contain the infused blood. The solution to this predicament began to rise out of the ritual circle: millions of tiny needles. The explosion continued as the destroyed areas would be quickly reformed only to be destroyed just as quickly, though she was feeling extreme anguish, the rush of pleasure coursing through her very being offsetting this pain. A lopsided smile could be seen on her lips that were being regenerated, only to disappear as her face exploded for the sixth time.

The explosions came to a halt as the needles positioned themselves about an inch away from their point of entry into Faye's body. As soon as her body fully regenerated and established itself, the girl felt millions of sharp points plunge into her body, the tips of her toes, her nether regions, her breasts, her lips, her eyes; not a single area of her body was spared. At first, the pleasure overwhelmed this painful sensation but as the needles dug deeper, the bliss was slowly devoured by intense agony, and it only increased. As time passed, soul-shaking screams broke the silence of the village, the pain that Faye was feeling had long surpassed the mortal levels, but her extreme desire to please her Lord kept her conscious.

Faye's milky-white skin had flaked away as a layer of scarlet wrapped around her now purple muscles whilst a set of black horns pushed themselves out of her hairless head. The specks of red devoured the hazel brown of her eyes, replacing them with glittering rubies. Her small frame rapidly grew, her height pushing just above 200cm, and her arms and legs grew bulkier as various muscles such as the biceps, triceps, trapezius and quads became more defined. As her shoulders broadened, a set of limbs began to extend out of them; a second set of arms that were just as muscular as her original arms. The being's fingers and toes grew sharper, becoming claw-like whilst hair that was darker than black began to sprout on her scalp.

The transformation had come to an end as the ritual circle began to move towards Faye, the markings slowly crawled up her legs, past her chiselled abs that would make warriors drool in envy, and condensed in between her breasts. Once all the purple ink had gathered, it transformed into a heart with a single eye with a slit in the centre and then imprinted itself onto her skin, creating a tattoo. This was no ordinary tattoo. It was the mark of the Devil of Corruption. Only those who had been chosen by him possessed this with Faye being the first. The demoness felt her body, her inspection being a quick one because of the addition of the extra pair of arms, it felt amazing. Every trace of her human heritage had been erased. She had truly become a demon. Her hands traced over her new tattoo, a wild grin adorning her face at the sight of her Lord's mark on her chest.

The scene of a tall, four-armed demoness affectionately rubbing a tattoo was reflected in the purple eyes of an immortal being. The lower half of his face which was usually mouthless was currently split into a giant grin, the ends of which pushed into the upper half of his face. He gained the perfect apostle.

He sat back on his throne, thinking back to the plan that brought him this perfect result.

I just realised that I made Faye's blood red during the fights when it was meant to be black. I would appreciate it if you guys could point out the incorrect sentences. Enjoy the chapter.
