"Sir! i've found news regarding Carl and his boys!"

"You said?" all traces of playfulness disappeared from Mr. William's eyes.

"Leave us" he coldly told the two beauties who immediately read the situation and scrambled out.

"That bastard Carl, how dare he run away with my prize? get me his wife this instant. I will be sure to ravish her and send him the photos" Mr. William's eyes flashed coldly.

He thought Carl couldn't resist Amelia's beauty and eloped with her.

"Sir, Carl is dead. He was killed by a local gang leader in Strawberry Village. From our current intel, Amelia is still at Strawberry village and she seems to be establishing a large scale poultry farm" Stephen reported.

"Hmph. So she has already found herself a new backing eh?" Mr. Williams hissed hatefully.

"Sir, the person protecting Amelia isn't that strong. We might take him down" Stephen urged.

"But Strawberry village isn't our turf. There might be surprise complications"

Mr. Williams was extremely shrewd. He didn't become a top ranking staff of Red Mist corporation without having any talents.

"Strawberry village is a barely developing town. Their local forces are trival. The only ones we should fear are those from Peak Ranch. I heard the ranch is owned by the Lovetta family's matriach younger brother. If we can spread our wings into Strawberry Village, we can monopolize the poultry farm business"

Leaving his room, he met Diego and his mum watching a reality show on the tv.

"Where are you going young man? come on and watch tv with us" Victoria beckoned when she caught sight of Drew making for the door.

"Later mum, i really have a serious matter to deal with" Drew smiled apologetically.

"Hmph. You are always busy. The only time we ever have time to gather together is during breakfast and dinner. You even skip lunch. Is there something going on that you need to tell me?" Victoria walked over to Drew and touched his neck.

"Ah! do you have a fever? quick! let me take you to the doctor!" Victoria panicked when she felt her son's scalding hot temperature.

"How can you be okay when your temperature is this high? are you taking drugs?"

"Mum!" Drew felt like crying.

The only reason why his temperature went high was due to the system's level ups. After thirty minutes, his body would return back to normal.

However, there was no way he was going to reveal the system's secret. Plus, he didn't even think anyone would believe him.

A symbiotic object that made one stronger the more money one spent? was there something so amazingly perfect in this world?

"Mrs. Victoria, i don't think you should be worrying that much for Drew" Diego cut in.

"What? you are now taking sides with him?" Victoria glared at him with displeasure.

"It's not like that. I heard some rumors that those big wigs usually have a health doctor who monitors their health life and administers treatment to them whenever they fall sick. My point is, Drew must have a health doctor already treating him, so there is no point worrying that much about him"

Hearing Diego's explaination, Drew felt like rushing over and giving him a kiss.

"Hmph. If i don't see any improvement in two days, i will personally drag you to the hospital myself!" Victoria went back to watching tv.

Diego gave his best friend a sad look. Ah! what a fierce mum you've got there!

"Sir! i have got big news!" Mr. Lewis was enjoying some grilled meat and drinking wine when Shadowshot barged into his office, appearing elated.

"What is it? did the President of the country die?" Mr. Lewis joked, throwing a chunk of meat into his mouth, munching on it.

"Hardly. I received news that Sir. Elon has launched an attack on Jay's base" Shadowshot.

"Which Elon? do you mean Blood fiend Elon?" Mr. Lewis couldn't control his shock.

"Yes! he defeated Jay and sent an invite to all crime bosses all around Delta City. He wants them to come and watch as he disciplines some eels who think they can overthrow the dragons in the sky. You even got an invite!" Shadowshot revealed an invite slip.

"That's strange. Jay doesn't look like the idiotic type to me. How could he have offended Sir Elon?" Mr. Lewis caressed his beards.

"Who cares. Since Sir Elon wants to publicly humiliate Jay, there is no way his backing would remain quiet. I am quite curious though, how strong is Jay's backer"

"You are right" Mr. Wilson nodded in understanding.

"However, i won't be going. You must know that i am the envoy from Mr. Howard. If the public finds me attending such a meet up, my reputation would be sullied. It might even affect Mr. Howard"

Mr. Lewis eyes was full of respect when mentioning Mr. Howard.

Not only was the latter the real owner of Peak ranch, the ranch he was managing in Strawberry Village.

He was also the younger brother of the Lovetta family's Matriarch!

The Lovetta family wasn't that powerful, being only a local hegemon in a small town.
