"What is going on?" I asked Mr Greystone with a low voice.
" I'm not sure, darling." The confusion on his face was clear. So, I faced my father directly.
"Daddy, Good afternoon." My head popped up in front of the phone as I greeted him with a smile. I was his first daughter and therefore his favourite.
"Afternoon, my daughter." He chuckled when he saw my face. " It's like it's afternoon over there."
"Yes, daddy. How have you been?" I could not just attack him with questions without knowing how he was doing.
" I have been great. How is everything over there? I heard about what happened... The emergency marriage you did to extend your stay over there. " He said but I could see how his eyes watched my every reaction, trying to figure out the truth for himself. He was an igbo man, and like many of them, they believed what they see with their eyes rather than what they hear.
