The most challenging thing about being a therapist is the fact that I have to remain calm and sane while trying to help my patients get better mentally and sometimes socially. Believe me, it's a crazy job.
Over the years, I have learnt to stay detached during sessions but I have never needed to use my techniques consciously until I met my crazy boss.
Like the good person I was genuinely, I came to his study with two cups of tea. "Here, I brought you a cup," I said with a smile to erase our previous issues but the smile seemed to have the opposite effect.
"Quit smiling, Amy. You look like a creep," he said deadpan before returning his attention to the paperwork on his desk.
