I looked up at Rowan before picking up the call. The voice I heard on the other end of the call was familiar. It was a voice I never thought I'd hear.
"Hello, Amanda." My mother said. For the next few seconds, I was taken aback.
"Mummy, is this your number?" I asked.
" Yes o. It's my new number. I had to get it after I lost my phone. " My mother said, like it was no big deal. " Where are you? Are you both alright?" She asked, concern laced in her voice. " I have been trying your number but it's not reachable. You people want to kill me with heart attack. It's almost eleven o'clock. Where are you?"
" We are at a hotel. It's late so we will come tomorrow morning." I explained to her. At that moment, I decided to return to the hotel. My mother was right. It was too late to be moving about.
