CHAPTER 27: Drunk (1)

Eve looks at her friends and trying to hold her laughter and after listening to their complain and said "okay..okay..okay.. am sorry I haven't come to see you guys it's just that I have been very busy with work"; "with work?" Sue said; Eve looks at both of them trying to decipher what they are trying to say; when she gets what her friends are trying to say she shakes her head in denial, "guys! It's just work nothing else" she said; "yes really, so...do you guys forgive me?" Eve asked; 

"Okay if you say so, we forgive you" both of them said.

"Okay, as a peace offering I will treat you guys to a drink after work, deal?" Eve said; "deal" both her friends said and Eve went back to her office.

After Eve has apologized to her friends, she went straight to Charlie's office at the top floor; she opens the door and goes to her desk in his office.

Charlie finishes signing the documents on his desk; he raises his head and looks at Eve studying her very well; he looks at her legs, her neck as Eve ties up her hair; he licks his lips; Eve raises her head and looks at Charlie; she locks eyes with Charlie and she blushes; Charlie clears his throat "what did you discuss with your friends?" Charlie asked; 

Nothing much, just apologized to them because they were angry with me not visiting them for a while now that's all" Eve said; "oh okay" Charlie gave a short answer; both of them faces their work before Eve eyes lit up as she remembers something; "I will be treating my friends out after work so I won't be going with you and I might get home late so there is no need to wait up for me" said Eve.

Charlie looks at Eve for somewhile; "hmm..okay, come over"; Eve stands up from her seat and goes to Charlie; he hands out a card to her; "take this card and use it to pay, it doesn't have a limit so it should be able to get you guys anything you want" Charlie said handing the card to Eve.

Eve sees it's a transparent glass card and only few people in New York city has it; Eve shakes her head refusing to take the card; "sir I can't take this card, it's not for people like me" Eve said; "take it, you are my fianceé and you have every right to use the card because I have to take care of youas my fianceé" Charlie said forcing the card into her hand; "thank you sir" Eve said;

Charlie frowns as Eve keeps calling him sir; "call me by my name when we are alone" he said firmly; "ok sir..oh sorry... Charlie" Eve hurries and corrected herself; she hurries to her seat.

The rest of the day went smoothly and before she knew it was the end of the day.
