(Cassandra's POV)
It's dark.
Very quiet.
Well, not that quiet. I can hear birds chirping and I can oddly feel a light breeze on my body but I still can't see anything.
I think I'm dead, or maybe I'm in a coma in the middle of the woods since I can still use some of my senses.
Wait, that's not right, I remember being lifted up from the floor after I was shot and besides Matthew wouldn't leave me there, right?
Come to think of it, I don't feel like ripping my shoulders out of my body anymore.
I've heard that gunshot wounds are painful but I don't think that was a normal bullet because immediately it touched my body, I felt a searing pain on that patch of skin. So anyone can imagine how I felt when it actually pierced my flesh. It was unbearable and I am thankful that I fell unconscious.
