Chapter 10

Aurora had exhaled as she had woken up and finally got out of bed. She had looked at the situation she had found herself at. Over the holidays she had hoped it would have ended hopefully in a good way, but then it came back to what she was now going through.

Aurora had exhaled as she had gotten up and quickly went through her suitcase, gathering her things, as she had gotten dressed. Looking at the bruises on her arms, she exhaled as she pulled a jacket on and went down the stairs.

"Good morning, Sir," Aurora said as she had seen Gabriella's dad.

"Wake that girl up. Otherwise, she'll be late. I'll quickly make coffee," he said as Aurora had nodded.

"Of course, Sir," Aurora said as she went up with the stairs and had gone into a room.

"Gabriella Mitchell. Get up. Your father states we are late for class," Aurora said as Gabriella had jumped up.

"What! It's 6:10," Gabriella said.

"Your dad wants to leave in 20 so hurry up. He's making coffee downstairs," Aurora said as Gabriella jumped out of bed.

Arriving at school, Gabriella had cleared her throat and pointed to Aurora's jacket sleeve. Without realizing it Aurora had grabbed the jacket that she had worn when her brother had attacked her. She exhaled as she took it off and her bruises were revealed. She shook her head as she had gone through her bag and grabbed a thin sweater.

"Thank you. I would kill if..." Aurora said as she saw how Gabriella's eyes had widened.

Looking at her, Aurora had turned around and saw as Logan stood behind her absolutely stunned for words. She had smiled at him as she had gone towards him, not knowing what to really tell him.

"Hi," Aurora said.

"Hi. I am so sorry for your loss," Logan said as he gave Aurora a slight hug.

"Thank you. Can we talk for a second?" Aurora asked as Logan had nodded and they went aside.

Aurora had exhaled as she had put her bag down on the floor while Logan had leaned against the wall behind him.

"I'm sorry I've been so distant lately. Things with my dad's death has been hard," Aurora said.

"Yeah, I understand. I have a confession to make. That day when you overheard me talking about having 2 girlfriends... It was a lie," Logan said as Aurora had looked at him.

"It... I tried to act cool around them and I had basically tried to figure out how I would feel. I don't have anyone in my life, and I didn't tell you when your feelings came out because I needed to just figure out what was going on," Logan said as Aurora had nodded.

"But please don't feel bad about all of that. Falling for me. I'm glad I had gotten to know someone like you," Logan said as Aurora had nodded.

"So am I," Aurora said.

Ignoring the marks on her body, Logan had knew that she wasn't ready to open up towards anyone about her father's death. Nor what had happened with her family at home.
