Chapter 11

Aurora had looked as she had woken up in a room. But she wasn't at home, and she hadn't been at home in over a month. Her first semester is nearly over with while she hadn't known whether or not she would eventually go back home.

"Morning, Aurora. How you feeling?" Noah asked as Aurora had put her laptop in her bag.

"I'm feeling okay. I'm sorry I had involved you into all of this," Aurora said as she had taken the coffee from Noah.

"Don't worry. Although I don't know how a man can attack you like this. Maybe I should pay your brother a visit," Noah said as Aurora shook her head.

"Logan will kill you. Don't do anything of the sort," Aurora said as Noah had looked at her.

"Not Logan Goldman. Don't worry. My brother is also Logan. Thank you, Noah. Thanks for worrying. I appreciate it very much. But I need to stand on my own," Aurora said as she grabbed her things.

"Of course, but maybe not yet. Come on. I'll drop you off quickly. I also need to head in today. Test," Noah said as the two of them went out of the apartment.

Aurora had looked as she and Noah had stopped in front of the college and both got out of the car. As Noah quickly grabbed his things and went inside, Aurora took a bit more time to get her things. She had walked into the building as she felt he weather slowly getting warmer and took her jacket off. Yes. The marks were still on her body from when her brother had attacked her, but the marks weren't as visible anymore.

"Hey, Aurora," Daniel said as Aurora had smiled at him.

"Hello, Daniel. How are you?" Aurora asked as she gave him a hug.

When Aurora had started at college she had really quickly made friends and she kept them well.

"I'm good. How you feeling? See that you have finally..."

"I'm doing okay. I haven't been at home in over a month. I've been staying at friends in Richmond. Technically it's time I find a job and a place to live for my own. But it's kinda difficult at the moment," Aurora said.

"I think... Birdie is looking for like a new housemate. Ask her. Maybe she is still keen on having someone with her," Daniel said.

"I'll ask. Thank you," Aurora said as she had gone into the college.

With her bag on her shoulder, Aurora had entered a classroom and smiled as she saw how Logan was already there. He was alone for a change, which was rare, while she had known that it wouldn't last long.

"Morning, Logan," Aurora said as she got her computer out.

"Morning, Aurora. How are you?" Logan asked.

"I'm actually doing okay. The best I've done in a while. How are you?" Aurora asked.

"Concerned over you. I saw the bruises on your arms the other day. Should I be worried?" Logan asked as Aurora shook her head.

"Not at all. My brother... Let's just say I don't live there anymore. I now live with friends. Different ones each time but yeah," Aurora said.

"Are you looking for a place close to campus to stay? Or are you going to keep on staying with people?" Logan asked.

"Close to campus, preferably. But it's difficult when I don't really know how my life is going to work out," Aurora said.

"I have an extra room available in my apartment. It's literally walking distance from here as well. And I know you are going to say it's a bad idea. But think about it for a bit," Logan said.

"I'll think about it first, but thank you for the offer," Aurora said.
