Chapter fifty two

As Rachel left Alex's office, Alex was left back in the pool of his thoughts. Sophia had only been able to help him with his worry for Sophia, but what about the unknown caller?

Alex was left to wonder in his thoughts, and he went deeper into his thoughts with each passing second. He kept wondering how he was going to escape the claws of the unknown caller.

He had tried to keep his profile discreet, but the people from the auction were somehow able to still find his real identity. It was obvious to Alex that they wanted his money, but the fact that they weren't coming all out to tell him that they wanted money was just disturbing.

Furthermore, the suspense that had kept him in was killing Alex slowly. His heart was filled with anxiety, and he could only pray that they asked for money. Even if it was a huge sum, if they asked for money, then he could pay them and finally have his peace.
