Chapter fifty three

Sophia's eyes fluttered open, her heart racing as she gasped for air. It was just a dream, she told herself, trying to calm down. But the vivid images lingered, haunting her.

In her dream, she was back at the auction house, standing on the stage as bids were placed for her. But this time, she didn't want Alex to buy her. She wanted someone else, anyone else.

As the bidding began, Sophia's anxiety grew. She couldn't bear the thought of being owned again. She tried to escape, but Alex appeared, his eyes blazing with anger.

"You think you can escape me?" he spat, his voice harsh. "You're mine, Sophia. You'll always be mine."

"Let go of me... I don't want you. Go back to your family, it's obvious they hate me, so why won't you just leave me alone?" Sophia yelled.
