Last time on An Eternal Dream:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Within seconds, I learned everything the book could teach me about the Fireball jutsu. Immediately, I turned off my sharingan. The strain was too large for my measly chakra reserves,
I would use it carefully. Rubbing my forehead, I went to the Taijutsu section and read up on everything about the Interceptor Fist.
Satisfied with myself, I decided to turn in for the night.
Heh, just you wait Shisui-nee. I'm gonna kick your ass. Big time.

1 WEEK LATER - TIME: 7 a.m.
3rd person POV:
Location: Uchiha Head Family Mansion:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A young boy could be seen stretching his legs. He had shoulder-length raven black hair and charcoal black eyes that shined with anticipation.
He took 3 shuriken and attached them to a wire. Closing his eyes, he flung the first two in the air. Without wasting any time, he immediately threw the 3rd at them. The sound of the weapons connecting was heard as all three shuriken deflected to different directions.
The boy's fingers twitched as he spun in place, the shuriken following his movement. The blades glowed a soft blue as he continued to dance in place and was soon surrounded in a storm of blades. Continuing his dance of death, the boy finally stopped. The room he was in now covered in cuts and scratches. The boy himself looked unfazed. The swirling storm of blades now calm.
The sound of slow clapping was heard as a beautiful raven-haired woman entered the room. She wore a soft smile on her lips as she looked at the boy proudly. Behind her, the stoic-looking man said nothing. However, his eyes revealed how proud he was of the boy.
The woman spoke, "The time has come, Itachi."
"Let us see how you have grown." The man added.
The boy, now revealed to be Itachi, opened his eyes which were full of confidence.
(I'm looking forward to the challenge, Shisui…)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In one of the many Uchiha training facilities:
The grounds were mostly empty with sole exception of two people. One, a raven-haired young girl. And the other was an older woman, who looked at the girl with a serious expression.
The woman spoke, "Are you ready, Izumi-chan?"
Izumi said nothing, choosing to express her conviction with a simple nod.
No more words were spoken as the two dashed at each other. The older woman was fast, very fast and managed to catch Izumi off guard. A jab, carefully aimed to hit the heart, came at speeds faster than most could see. However, before it could come in contact, the jab was deflected to the right by Izumi's left arm. Izumi returned the favor with a kick to the woman's stomach.
The woman was shocked, she knew that Izumi had gotten faster and stronger, but she did not expect her to land a hit. Taking advantage of the woman's surprise, Izumi let out a flurry of attacks.
Though caught off guard, the woman almost managed to block every strike. Key word being almost.
Izumi feinted a roundhouse kick aimed at the woman's head. The woman ducked. What she did not expect was a second kick, faintly glowing a greenish hue. Aimed at her chest.
The attack connected as the woman was sent flying back. Regaining her balance, the woman looked at Izumi analytically.
Then, she nodded to herself. Dusting herself off and wiping away the sweat on her brow.
She spoke, "That's enough. You're ready. Just make sure not to waste too much chakra. You won't be able to handle the strain."
"Hai, Hai. Jeez, kaa-chan. You worry too much. With my new training, I'll definitely kick Shisui-nii's butt!" She said, bursting with confidence.
Then, she winced as she was bopped on the head by the woman, now revealed to be none other than Mikasa (That's the name of Arata's mother, in case you forgot) herself.
"Don't get overconfident. Shisui is your older brother. He's also stronger, faster and more experienced than you are. The only way you will be able to defeat him is if you catch him off guard." She said in a chiding tone.
Izumi could do nothing but groan at the bump on her head. "Whatever. Do you mind healing that? I need to be at full strength to beat nee-san."
Mikasa sighed at her stubborn daughter, she proceeded to heal Izumi's bump and any other injuries with practiced ease.
Then she gave one last piece of advice, "Remember, the three of you are fighting against Shisui at the same time. Use that to your advantage." She hinted.
This time however, Izumi nodded seriously, "Un"
Izumi gazed at the sky, (Let's see what you've got Itachi, Arata, Nii-san.)

At the same time
In an unknown location
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our raven-haired protagonist could be seen sparring against an older man.
(Concentrate, Focus. Pay attention to your surroundings. No unnecessary movement. Maintain a center of focus. Deflect, attack, dodge, repeat. Deflect, attack, dodge, repeat.)
These were the thoughts going through our protagonist's head as he sparred against the highly competent man. Kunai in hand, Arata gracefully parried the overhead swing of his opponents tanto before countering with a slash to the hip. Knowing his attack would be parried, Arata prepared himself. As the man deflected his attack to the left, Arata jumped.
The momentum of the deflection guiding him, He spun mid-air as the man found himself in an uncomfortable predicament. He could not parry an attack like tike he did before. So, he raised his tanto to block. The kunai and the tanto clashed and cancelled each other out.
Arata smirked, loosening his grip on the kunai, Arata's other fist dug itself deep inside the man's gut. If one were to look carefully, he'd see that Arata's fist was glowing a faint blue. The man was sent flying back.
Before he could regain his momentum, Arata threw the Kunai at the man. The man barely dodged as the kunai soared past him.
(Bingo!) Arata thought.
A second later. Arata disappeared and reappeared behind the man.
The man was shocked, (What!!! How!!). Wasting no time, Arata delivered a spinning kick at the back of the man's head.
However, "Alright, enough playing around". Before Arata could even blink, the man turned around and side stepped his kick.
Wasting no time, the man swung his Tanto in a deadly arc as Arata was forced to stop his assault. Using the Tanto as a spring, Arata jumped away from the man to make some distance.
Arata's blood was pumping as he almost jumped in excitement, (All right!! Let's you dodge this!!)
The man made a wild dash to end the fight as Arata went through a string of hand signs. The man was almost upon him as Arata took a deep breath. The man recognized the signs as he thought,
(There's no way!! No 4-year-old can use elemental jutsu of all things!! They can barely use chakra!!)
However, even so, the man was on guard and prepared to escape the range and Arata's voice came,
"Katon: Goukakyuu No Jutsu!!
The man watched impassively as the fireball of death came at him in full speed. He went through a few hand signs of his own as he called out the name of his jutsu:
Doton: Doryuheki no Jutsu!!
The fireball was stopped clean in its tracks. "Well, Arata, looks like this match is over. Color me impressed…"
"Are you sure about that" Arata's voice called out.
(Are you kidding me!!! How!!)
"Looks like you got a tad bit too overconfident, Tou-san." Arata spoke cheekily. Kenta sighed as he looked behind him.
Arata was behind him, a smug grin plastered on his face.
Kenta grumbled to himself. The he asked Arata, "How did you do that?"
"Do what?" Arata asked innocently
Kenta's eyebrow twitched, "How did you get behind me?"
Arata's eyes lit up, "Ah! So that's what you meant. Well, it's simple. One of the most important rules of a shinobi. Always pay attention to your surroundings."
Kenta's eyes widened in realization. He softly said to himself, "Kawarimari"
Arata's grin widened as he nodded.
Kenta sighed, "Well, if you can catch me off guard. You can definitely catch Shisui off guard."
Arata smug gin faded to a small smirk, "Heh, you got that right."
A similar smirk appeared on Kenta's face as he thought to himself,
(Hah! Take that Mikasa! There's no way Shisui can beat Arata now!!)
The small smirk changed to a perverted grin, (Hehehe, the things we're gonna do…)
Kenta was brought back to reality when Arata's knee firmly planted itself in his groin. Kenta choked on his breath as he fell to the floor, groaning in pain.
With tears in his eyes, he whispered, "Why?"
Arata scoffed, "For some reason, I didn't like that look on your face and felt that I just had to do that."
Kenta looked at his with fury in his eyes, he tried to curse this but all that came out was a pitiful whimper.
So, he settled for, "Damn you brat… I'll get you someday…"
Arata spared a single glance at him.
"Hn"
Kenta's jaw dropped as he was rendered speechless.
Arata ignored his father as he fell into thoughts.
He couldn't help but shiver.
Kenta looked at him with worry evident in his eyes,
Then, he chuckled, that chuckle turned into full-blown laughter.
Kenta was worried, (Is my son insane?)
As if reading his thoughts, Arata spoke, "No, I'm not insane."
"I'm just… excited…"
He closed his eyes. "I'm not shaking in fear… No, I'm shaking in anticipation…"
"Fighting with all our strength, our lives on the line… a chance to prove myself.."
He smirked as his eyes opened,
(I hope you're prepared nii-san, I don't plan on losing)

Under a waterfall, a 9-year-old boy sat shirtless as the water cascaded down his back. He had his eyes closed and seemed to be in deep thought.
His eyes opened to reveal crimson pinwheels with 3 Tomoe in each eye.
Getting up from his position and walking away from the waterfall, Shisui Uchiha smirked,
"It's time."
