After Hiruzen got the news that both the survivors of the massacre were not in any danger of life, He sighted in relief.

"The reports say that Sasuke has minor brain damage, probably effect of a powerful genjutsu, and that Kaede girl has permanent damage on her stomach and uterus... Seems like she won't be part of that sick C.R.A. BS in the future... good for her."

After reading the important part of the reports, Hiruzen called Danzo for a meeting.

"What is it Hiruzen?" Danzo asked as soon as he entered the Hokage's office

"Danzo, did you order Itachi to kill ALL the uchihas?" Hiruzen asked with impatience on his voice

"What do you mean Hiruzen?" pretending, answered Danzo

*SLAM* Hiruzen slammed his hands on the table

"Don't play games with me Danzo! We just needed to kill the ones involved in the coup, why did you order him to kill the civilians?"

Danzo was silent for a while

"Uchihas in general are uncontrollable Hiruzen, You know that as well. And don't act like you had no part in this"

"...sigh~

Danzo, You are prohibited from approaching the 2 survivors, did I make myself clear?" ordered Hiruzen

"Survivors? Did Itachi let someone survive?" Danzo confused, asked

"DID I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR, DANZO?" raising his voice, Hiruzen asked again

"...Yes, you did" Danzo answered

"Dismissed!"

Gritting his teeth, Danzo left the office and immediately after he called one of his root members

"Bring me everything about that other uchiha survivor, Itachi clearly killed them all, find why someone survived, how they survived and their background to me!"

"Yes Danzo-sama!" the root shinobi then flickered away

"Hiruzen..." Danzo said with hate in his voice, as much as he hated to remember it, he isn't the hokage so he can't openly disobey Hiruzen's orders... openly that is.

"I must see if this other uchiha represents any danger for the village..." as always, instead of saying that he wants to see if Kaede represents danger for him, he justified his actions with a 'for the good of the village' BS, that even he knew wasn't true any longer.

The news about Itachi going rogue and single handedly killing every single uchiha, asides from 2 spread like fire throughout the elemental nations, but the most shocked of all wasn't anyone but Itachi himself

"... Kaede survived? How can that be possible?" He asked himself, after all he coated his blades with a strong poison and hit her in a way that it was obvious that she would quickly die after...

"Uchiha Kaede..." he muttered to himself

"What are you thinking so much about?" Asked the masked ninja by his side.

"Someone else survived in the clan, Madara..."

"It doesn't matter, what difference can one person do?"

'Madara' answered, not knowing he just raised a BIG FLAG...

Back with Kaede

'Sage, can I keep my sharingan open 24/7?'

<Affirmative. It is possible>

'Humm... great, keep a sharingan active 24/7 on my right eye'

Just like that Kaede's right eye suddenly began emitting a very little amount of chakra, which was enough to alert the medics nearby.

"There's a chakra fluctuation"

"Let me see"

Upon close inspection, the medics concluded that Kaede have unlocked her sharingan, but what baffled them was that only one eye showed signs of awakening the dojutsu.

"Report this to lord hokage"

Kaede's plan was a simple one, show a high potential by awakening the sharingan early, but since she isn't a full uchiha, showing defects even on that is incredibly useful to remove the attention that would be given to her. By not being able to 'turn off' her sharingan, she theoretically should have the same problem that Kakashi has, Low chakra.

And being only able to unlock a single sharingan also would make her less valuable as a ninja in general.

Also, assigning her sharingan awakening to a near death trauma, she can make a drastic turn in her personality, especially since the one who 'almost killed' her was someone she trusted in the eyes of the village.

That is also why she never got a sharingan before, because even if it was easy to kill a random gennin or chunnin with one, if she was ever seen with it, she wouldn't have any excuses about how she unlocked it, and Itachi may end up thinking she unlocked the mangekyou because of that, and that would put her in both Akatsuki and Obito's eyes... well eye in Obito's case, but still...

None of that was a really smart move in Kaede's perception, especially since she doesn't know who else from Tensura may have a counterpart here, She couldn't risk running into a Yuki level threat without a plan.

Hiruzen after receiving the report from the medics, only sighted as he didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad one.

Completely opposite to his reaction, Danzo snorted in disdain as soon as he knew that this Kaede had only one single sharingan, judging that it wasn't worth recruiting her into the root, since for her to be useful he would need to implant one of his limited sharingans on her, so he gave up.

The jonins of Konoha also got the news, way later than Hiruzen and Danzo, but only one of them put any importance on this: Kakashi Hatake, as he knew that he would most probably have to teach this girl, since he is the only ninja in konoha that is somewhat familiar with the sharingan.
